Lots of positives. JS has really brought through lots of fringe players into first team regulars this season. Had chances but didn’t take them today.

This is the exciting thing for me. A lot of players now with a solid season now under their belts and quite a lot of appearances for players who wouldn't have played otherwise looks good for next season. And that goes for the manager himself with one full season now under his belt.

Remember that he's got a very good record before he came to us. I do expect a better season from him next season, with a bit more understanding of the league.

We haven't worried about relegation all season. That's the difference, with a lot of potential progress to now make with some stability.

Think if we needed a result we win that game. Bringing on a mix of the kid and rusty players killed us along with injuries to Kone and Smyth who were both great.

Mbengue at least fouls the bloke and stops the third goal. We get the blatant free kick for the push on Smyth and the ball doesn’t go down the other end for the second.

One of those days. About as good a 70 mins as we’ve had all season, keeper has a great game, referee with some increasingly bizarre calls the pedantic little nonce, a couple of poor finishes, a very lucky first for them. Would be gutted if it mattered but it doesn’t really. Onwards to more of the same in August.

Bit gut-wrenching to lose that. Never saw any of it but the commentary I did hear had us all over them. Pretty odd that bringing on Madsen, Burrell and Chair then we lose the game.
We really need to up our game management - that’s twice now we’ve done that.
Really wanted to see us over the 60pt line.
So now we have to beat Ipswich to do it?!

Great first 60 minutes.

Every substitution weakened us.

But did I see Mbengue on touch line on crutches.

Then Burrell goes down with hamstring and we have to play with 10.
Of course Derby were going to win.

Chair and Madsen really looked as though they were protecting their injuries

Adamson and Smith are not ready yet..
Nardi is not as good as Walsh

Pretty much the best I've seen us play all season for 70 minutes. Our lack of height and a poor goalkeeper were always going to be a problem if we ever took the foot off the gas however, and that's exactly what happened with the subs. The usual shockingly poor refereeing decisions didn't help. Not a captain's performance from Ronnie Edwards despite being ok individually. Shoot the fitness coach.

Been out all afternoon enjoying lunch in the sun, perfect day for cricket really.....
Only seen the stats, 23 attempts 12 on target and their keeper makes 10 saves, whereas they have 3 shots on target and score with the lot.... sounds very much like a smash and grab......

We should not have lost that game!
We need some backbone to be able to come back when teams equalise against us.
We had quite a few chances and shots on target. On another day, with a decent ref, we win.

Most concerning of all is Burrell breaking down again and Smyth though that looked more of a knock than anything. Mbengue I assume was just a precaution.

Unbelievable result & best we’ve played for a while first 60 odd mins & thought subs disrupted our play, on another day could & should’ve had about 6, thank Christ got 3 & bit months off & need it, now holiday time!
