Vlad is establishing himself as proper character amongst the squad. Sure there are areas to improve on, but his saves and passion have really made a difference.
Can't disagree with any of this. For me knowing PC's requirement for there to be competition for all places within the team, I can't help thinking that rather than replacing Vlad, we may need another keeper whose going to push him harder for a starting place. I like Vlad, particularly his commitment & attitude, but there's a niggle that doesn't quiet right with me.Most keepers in the Championship have problem areas - if they were perfect they would be in a higher league. Vlad replaced Gunn who seemed to be a decent shot stopper but was poor with his distribution and never commanded his box. Vlad is better than Gunn on every aspect and is probably better than most keepers at this level.

That's the issue I don't think PC wants able deputies I think he wants players competing for their place.Grimshaw is an able deputy, ideally he doesn’t play and that’s the case with most number 2s. Hes also English which helps with foreign player allocations in the squad
Me too. His mental mistakes early in the season, like rushing out of his box, made things exciting! He has said he likes working with the goalkeeper coach. I believe that is Declan Rudd.I like Vlad, particularly his commitment & attitude, but there's a niggle that doesn't quiet right with me.
Agree. PC played him a fair bit and I expected a 12 month extension at leastSad to see Springett leave - the chap always put a shift in when asked to and we were just starting to see him fulfil his potential

Nice touch when PC said that, if Springett developed as he, PC, expected, he might wear the Yellow and Green again in the future. We’ve been saying all season that his style might cost us goals but he would win more games than he lost us. Over the whole season I can’t think of many occasions where he has lost us a goal let alone a game? He wasn’t great in the first derby match but who was. He kept the early season scorelines respectable. He hasn’t made many mistakes in my view and even fewer that have been punished. I think he’s got better as he got more healed to the league and has improved his aerial command of the box.

According to Clement, Springett and club were in complete agreement about what was now in Springett's best interest, namely, going somewhere which would more or less guarantee him consistent playing time; he urged Tony not to be too picky about where that might be. Seemingly having put injury and fitness issues behind him, what Tony now needs is to be playing football week in week out, making up for lost time. Norwich cannot guarantee him that.Me too, I can only assume we offered something and Springett said no?
I’m also surprised we weren’t planning to extend Schlupp’s contract, unless we’ve decided he is not capable of getting fit. We need some experience
