  1. I don't know about you, but I love watching comedians taking the piss out of our accent <laugh>

The Jimmy Carr one is good where he gets Antonio Banderas to say things in Scouse and Geordie, anyone seen that?

How about when a Geordie accent takes the piss of the term "comedian"?

My accent is better, bit of Mackem, Geordie and Durham. <ok> Last time I was in Manchester some people told me to 'go back to my own country' as they thought I was Irish <laugh>

But I bet you call a 'curry' a 'cerry' so nobody cares what you think.

At the school where my mum works (mackem territory) she genuinely had a girl in her class called Kerry Stains. Say it outloud in a mackem accent for the full effect. She also had an Annette Curtain. Some parents must hate their kids!

We'll not mention custad creem crackas eh...............................By far the best piss-take ever of the geordie accent was Paul Whitehouse as Julio Geordio, it was ----ing hilarious, whoever thought of that is definitely a comedy genius.

Best way to learn how to do a geordie accent is just to say Kola cubes.

I hate my accent, probably because I can't settle on one.

Some days I sound geordie, some days I sound pitmatic and other days I have some generic duhram accent.

I generally want to move to Newcastle so I can settle on an accent. <laugh>

    I don't have an accent.
Educated in Peterbrough but lived in Northumberland (Heddon) all my life. I am 16 now.

At school if I say 'Gr-a-ss' it gets picked up on...Same with bath, path etc...but then when I'm at home it gets picked up on if I say 'gr-ar-ss'.

I have a right job with it all!!

In my current state of affairs, I'd probably pronounce that Moo-a.

School's a funny one for me, half the time it's skoo-al and at other times it can be skoo-wel.

I can't deal with double O's. I was talking to a lass from London once and when I said moor she thought I was trying to say manure. <laugh> skoo-wel is the way forward. <ok>

I'm a Geordie, lived in Newcastle all my life, but comedians over exaggerate the accent.
