Salford pushing for play-offs in 6th place, only 3 points off an auto position. Although in a tied situation their GD is poor compared to those above them. Form table they are 5th over last six, whereas Gills are 22nd.

The hosts have had some tough games recently, against other promotion contenders, MK, Cambridge, Notts C and Crewe, with a mix bag of results with very narrow outcomes.

With four games to go, they will need this this more, whereas we are playing for pride...

I remember several years ago conducting a wedding at the Conrad, here in the Algarve.
It was an early one, and I was able to get home and listen to the match.
Speaking to the Best Man before the ceremony, I was asked if I like football?????
I certainly do, but I have followed a lower division side for 60 years, and due to today's early start, I can get home to listen to them give Salford Utd a dicking.
After the ceremony, the bestman gave me his business card. DAVID RUSSELL, who was part of organising the takeover with the Class of 92
And we went on to win 1-0
