TSP 363: 3–1 at Hillsborough – 9 Unbeaten & Play-Off Expectation?

Saints made it nine unbeaten with a professional 3–1 win over Sheffield Wednesday. Not spectacular, but efficient — and all three goals coming from defenders.

We also cover:

– Defensive solidity
– Cam Bragg’s performance
– Ross Stewart fitness concerns
– Fulham away in the FA Cup

Would love to know where everyone’s head is at — confident? cautious?

As always, interested to hear what people think. Is there any way back for Tonda, or does the club need a clean break before it can properly move on?

TSP 383: Tonda Stays

Hello!

Episode 383 of Total Saints Podcast is out now.

The summer break lasted about five minutes, so Martin, Steve, Glen and Alfie are back to react to another ridiculous week at Southampton Football Club.

Since the League Arbitration Panel’s written reasons were released, we’ve had the club statement, Dragan Solak’s video and Tonda Eckert’s own message to supporters. The end result appears to be pretty clear: Tonda is staying, nobody publicly loses their job, and Saints are trying to move forward as if it’s business as usual.

On this week’s episode, we talk through whether that is the right call, whether Dragan has chosen pragmatism over a clean slate, and whether this is now the start of a proper siege mentality heading into next season.

There’s also plenty on the parts that still feel unresolved: the pressure placed on junior staff, the lack of obvious accountability, the damage done to the club’s reputation, and the FA investigation that could still change the picture again.

We also look ahead to what comes next, including the retained list, season tickets, possible new contracts and the kind of summer Saints now need if they are serious about going straight back up.

Later in the episode, we discuss the Saints Women departures, including Atlanta Primus, Aimee Palmer and Tara Bourne, and look ahead to Ryan Garner’s world title fight at St Mary’s.

Interested to hear where people are now with Tonda staying. Are you behind it, still angry about it, or just at the point where results next season will decide everything?
