Relatively comfortable win. We nearly gifted them a route back into the match but after that miss it was all one way traffic. I'm going to remember that Charles strike for a long time. From the position I was in I knew it was in from the moment he hit it.

Routine. Comfortable. Professional.

Charles' wonder goal will probably be the only thing which lives in the memory from that game - not a classic.

Now for a break.

Would rather we don’t slow it down to walking pace at 2-0 tbh, one goal and everything changes and it’s not easy to suddenly jump up through the gears again. Oxford worked hard but were very limited up front. Lankshear showed some great hold up play but that 1v1 miss was a stinker (thankfully). Professional job in the end as it was always likely to be given the number of games recently. Bit of shame as I think we could have added a few more to the GD if we’d have spent more time out of 1st gear, but can’t be too greedy. COYR

I didn't mind it to be honest, 5th match in 13 days and never in a million years were Oxford scoring twice.

On the train now - somehow managed to get the 5:24. Good fist 20 mins then we slowed it down to a walk. Never felt under any real threat though. That Charles goal was just outrageous. Absolutely outrageous.

Not much else to add. Nice meeting a few before the game for a quick one - should do it more often.
I got on that train at Brockenhurst. I didn't see anyone with more than one head though.

Oh shut up.

Player safety is a massive push. But the placement, along with the unusually basic supermarket thrift design with Snellen chart text (tiny for pitchside hoardings) looks a bit suss. They do Iook more like obstacles than effective communication.

Dark Arts courtesy of the Marketing Department?? - this promotion push is getting serious!
