Gardner hasn't had a fair crack imo, having said that from what I have seen of him this season he doesn't seem to have grasped the fact that you have to pass the ball to a man in the same colour shirt.
Problem is Billy he had the same problem at Birmingham. The question is did Bruce actually scout him, or did he just think "right we're short of goals from midfield, who scores goals? Lampard, no chance. Gerrard, no chance. Ah Gardner he has 10, buy him." The lad cannot pass the ball and I think that is surely the main criteria for a midfielder! His goals last year masked what an average season he had. You got the best player out of Birmingham in Larrsson.
