They need security on trains on weekends now. Week days are bad enough but the amount of nastiness staff get from football fans and drinkers is ridiculous.
All the carriages have got CCTV on them nowadays but I can't see the purpose(unless there's a major incident like someone hacking someone to bits)..

I use the LNER York to Edin when I'm down for games and it's a ****ing riot!!

Hordes of drunks on at York, off at Newcastle, hordes of drunks on at Newcastle, off at Edin and I've got the added bonus of the late night train from Edinburgh to Glasgow and the joys that brings.

I told a muppet about a month ago that if he blew the contents of his vape-filled lungs in my direction once more I'd lay him flat on his backside, luckily for his sake(and mine:emoticon-0102-bigsm),he listened.I like a puff myself but prefer to adhere to the rules but it's like talking to a brick wall at times!!!

Some of the antics and the language on show at times is disgraceful.

Your wife shouldn't have to deal with that behaviour whilst doing her job. It's a shame that fans don't police their mate's behaviour.
To be fair on Saturday the older Millwall heads did back her up and went and sorted the fighting idiots out.

The ones without tickets refusing to pay were all ages though and they are well aware of the loop hole now. Kings cross plod have the barriers open when they are coming through to speed up getting them away from the public in the station. The staff on trains rarely do ticket checks because theyre scared of going the train full of rowdy fans. The plod at the other end have the barriers open ready to get them quickly on the March to the stadium. So they know they can get to most games without a ticket both ways. My wife never avoids checking tickets and paid the price yesterday with a load of abuse.

Sure is mate. I hate her working football trains. Luckily the drinkers dont tend to use hull trains much other than between Selby and Doncaster so she doesn't get a lot of hassle other than football and your day to day ticket avoiders and general scabs.

Those illegal immigrants have infiltrated the train services to such an extent now it’s not safe
Funny you mention that. It was only last week a guy who spoke very little English sexually assaulted a member of Hull Trains staff as she passed through the train. Police called and he was known to them for three previous offences.
Immigration status unknown however so I cannot say if he was illegal or not. Almost certainly an immigrant though given his lack of English.

Getting back to the football, I really enjoyed Saturday, I know the result didn't go our way, but loads of positives, great to see us really going for it, some great attacking moves, just didn't finish them off. Millwall hung on and took their chances well, both goals gifted to them, but at least we gave it a go. Wrexham, hoping for the same attitude. Hopefully they'll be knackered and won't be as aggressive as they usually are and don't press us as much as they have done in the past. Get into them right from the start and hopefully take our chances. We need a result in this one, give the boys some confidence back. Looking forward to it, would love to beat the smug sheep shaggers.

Its the type of game we win easily. Fan base starting to doubt the side. On the back of a poor run and up against a side that are going well.

Having said that its the championship and no amount of form, superstition or data is helpful. Thats why its the best league in the world to watch and hardest to predict results in.

we are still top of the away form league arent we?
i think the way we set up against Ipswich has unsettled people a bit, i dont think we will have same mindset for this one, our overall away form shows we have every chance , im looking forward to it
