And Shola was actually quite good for a few years with Shearer.

  4. We'd have to wait until Summer to get Hoillet. His contract runs out then, but if we buy in Jan Rovers will ask for big cash.

Samba I'd buy for 7-8m. We should stick the bid in and offer him the wage cap plus a bonus.

He's well worth it. I agree with the people that say Samba is no better than Saylor, but we cannot rely on Saylor staying fit for a full season. Samba, Saylor, Colo and Willo. That's good competition for center back areas.

Santon will be our right back once we sign a left back though so his opportunities would be limited. Of course Danny could leave yet. And to be fair I think Lowes natural position is centre midfield anyway, an area where we do need some cover.

I dont think we'd have too much competition for Samba, Arsenal wanted a commanding centre back and signed Mertesacker in summer, they wont give up on him yet, Spurs and Liverpool have a lot of quality centre backs and arent exactly struggling at the back, plus Gary Cahill seems to be the flavour of the month amongst top English sides wanting a CB.

Yes to Samba and/or Hoillett. Rochina looks class as well.

Go on then. I'd settle for Sow or Giroud but how about we sell Shola and Lover, signing those two as the replacements? I'm not greedy you see....................

    ? <laugh>

I'd take Rochina and Samba. Can see Liverpool, Villa and Spuds going for Hoillett so will bump up his price. Even the Mackems might be interested with O'Neill loving to spend big.
