It has been a bad year for British boxing, with British boxers losing something like 9 world title fights and currently only one British champ, Nathan Cleverly, who won a vacant title against a second stand in.

But who are the best current British fighters P4P?

    Here is my list.

    No.1: Amir Khan
    No.2: David Haye
    No.3: Carl Froch
    No.4: Ricky Burns
    No.5: Kell Brook
    No.6: Nathan Cleverly
    No.7: Mathew Macklin
    No.8: Kevin Mitchell
    No.9: George Groves
    No.10: Tyson Fury

    What is your list?

You should have gotten it a bit wrong just to create a bit of controversy.
The ten spot is up for grabs. Degale came back from a loss to get the euro title. Martin Murray boxed well in losing to Sturm.

Brook is too high up for the calibre he has mixed with imo.

    And Macklin is Irish <ok>

Yeah I considered all of those for the no.10 spot but went for Fury, he did beat Chisora.

Brook did destroy a top 6/7 at welter in Jackiewicz. Obviously of the top two in the division but he is well capable of beating anyone else.

Macklin was born in Birmingham is a UK national and I think still lives in Birmingham.

I thought about Chisora ahead of Fury too. Despite the result. Taking Hellenius all the way is still an achievement.

Macklin is Irish. Same as Frampton, McCloskey....and Fury too....We'll take em all.

Andy Lee was born in England......but he's not on the list<ok>

Ola Afolabi has a world ranking.

Right.......go easy on me........so does Matthew Hatton.

Sounds like a Brummy to me :)

Afolabi considered as well, unlucky to drop a decision to Huck.

    Hatton was some way off.

How does your list look like?

Very like yours. I'd only be different just for the sake of it.

Hatton is a way off, but he has a ranking!!
