oh you tease and yes i dont know. but i would suggest that ONLY those i mentioned will know whats going on at the moment as Loose Lips Sink Ships and Spoil Deals. i also tend to agree with you about a keeper. thats a very low priority at the moment. but imo, i think Nick will try and get Bo back in the summer.

I now have confirmation about the Hammill loan approach, along with a loan approach for another winger(it will be one or the other, not both). Also, we were never in for Billy Sharp.
I actually can see us spending 'a lot' on one player. I mean think about it, if there is say, approx £3 million available to spend (the Allams have already said they are preparing millions to spend in the window), then Barmby will only want to bring in just one or two QUALITY players anyway. He will not risk bringing in a load of players that might or might not get into the team. Just one or two class players that will definitely be able to make an immediate impact. We all know (don't we?) that we need another quality striker. The way we play football, someone like Sharp is ideal. I rate the guy myself and think it would be a superb move. Lets just hope it comes off. As for who else he will go for, maybe another defender? But that might only need be a loan deal from a PL club perhaps requiring no significant ££'s to be spent. If we flog off Jay Simpson or McShane or another fringe player, we will not be making a net spend of £3 million anyway. Looking at it from Donny's point of view, of course they would want to keep Sharp. He's their most important player. But - if we can offer £3 million cash, maybe cleared in their account for the start of January...... then imagine what that might do for their chances of wheeling and dealing to bring in 3/4 new players and inject some life into the team? Especially if they are negotiating fees now before the Sharp deal is actually announced in any official capacity. Only thing is, they have scored what? 19 goals all season? Sharp has got 9 of those! Who ever is left or comes in will have to perform in the goals department. But then they are struggling for goals WITH Billy Sharp. So maybe their midfield is gash.
Interesting, the person who told me claimed they'd been told this by Paul McKenna at a recent charity event, time will tell I guess. It does however seem that Nick is focused on getting another winger in, I wonder how much of a priority a forward is to him?
Vokes would be a great signing if it comes off. Just hope people don't think its a disappointing one because people have convinced themselves we're getting Sharp. I wonder if the winger/s are to replace or add to the squad. I'd hate to lose any of or star players but at least we're in a position this transfer window were we can attract quality replacements if need.
Either way it will all be done early January. Can't see our present owners/management being interested in the final day circus of the transfer window.

Sharp and our'footballers' would blow Fryatts achievements away! Vokes was in the wrong place, wrong time at Wolves and has never settled since. The word from Wolves at that time was that they had missed a real talent. Barmby will bring this kid out of his shell and develop his game off our excellent midfield. His big plus is he is not a flaming Hobbit!! Another decent call. The only thiong he should be on trial for is fraud!! They are a class business act and we have not seen the best by a long way.
Im more interested in knowing who we might lose than who we might be getting! Premiertiger, OLM do you have any news on who might be leaving??
Only that we're hoping we don't lose any of our first XI. Oli, Harper, McShane, Ghilas and Simpson are probably available if anyone wants them, possibly also Atkinson and Adebola, I think we'll do everything possible to hold on to our other players.
