    Is Rory Donnelly of Cliftonville any good ? (no point asking or even looking at Medro's replies as i don't think Rory has a sash)

    Liverpool ,Everton and some Lahndan club are rumoured to be after him and Cliftonville want it sorted before Christmas.

    I haven't seen him play but he is generating a fair amount of buzz. Cliftonville seem to have a decent team as a whole this year.

    Cue Medro's usual bigotry and idiocy.

    Don't use the term 'Norn Iron' - I don't actually know a single person who pronounces it like that and it's a bit of a term of endearment when there is very little endearing about the place, apart from Medro of course.

    There is a wee bit of buzz about Donnelly but then we had the same buzz about Boyce not so long ago and he's signing for Hereford over Christmas (after failing at Werder Bremen).

    I'd say wait and see.

    Like Mick says. Donnelly is the exceptional player in a very poor league. Whether he can progress is another matter. Well worth a punt for a Premier league team at £100K or so - sure that's chicken feed to them and it would pay Cliftonville's whole teams wages for about a year!

    I've actually no idea about the fella, stopped watching Irish league when I was kid. Was talking about him the other day to Ciaran. A lot of players look good in the Irish League (Boyce, Thompson etc) then move abroad and it doesn't work out.

    Time will tell but if he was wise he should go for Fulham, Swansea or one of those teams.

    Was that the answer you were looking for hashy?
