Thanks Ardent I'll slip you that fifty quid for your Boxing Day APPRAISE selections later 7/4 ................. jeez, that has to be the worst value bet since the Philistines decided to lump on Goliath against "that little weedy fellow"
Wow a 10/1 shot... With 1 winner and three 2nds in the last round maybe i need to sharpen my pen and get picking better runners... Jeez this is a hard one to win...!!! Thats gotta be worth a few quid on an e/w... Though what you paying out on Ron... First 2...
14/1 i will definately take some of that,HaHa.oh yes oddy you have great xmas, and i mean a great xmas day, get plenty of booze and turkey into you, and sleep in boxing day, to about 5pm.hahahah
Greatpilsudki is a bit of a unknown quantity for me! I havent really followed any of his selections. Any one got any feedback lol
But best of luck Greatpilsudki- like oddy I hope you have a really, really good xmas infact a little too good lol
Seems that my cagey opponent Cliffy might be getting into the mind games nice and early. God forbid if he's telling the truth and he gives himself next to no chance. If so, our heat will be a bloody shocker. But his past competition history shows him to be in pretty decent form, so I figure that he just trying to psych me out. I don't want to sound paranoid now, but as the punting public have their attention rooted (love that word) on this battle of the top 16 form titans, I'm leaving no stone unturned. I've been rummaging around the garage looking for my mark11 model, intergalactic, solar activated, al foil insulated helmet, to protect me from the dreaded Beta Brain Rotting Ray, devised by those horrible Hunt people during the famous All Weather-Hunt Wars. I'm not for a moment suggesting that my esteemed opponent would stoop this low, but anyone who'd follow Carronhills off a cliff, has to be pretty fanatical.
Wooly, GP is going well in the Leagues comp at the moment. He's currently in L2 and was extremely unlucky not to win promotion last Saturday, He was one of only a few who finished the day making a profit, he was unlucky that Cliffy and Sparky, both in L2 had a mighty day. He at one stage led L1 so he's a hardened warrior. They don't call him the GREATpilsudski for not nothing. All 8 contestants went around in the Leagues comp on the weekend, so we have a bit of form to work with. Cliffy 30121. Comes into this on the back of some cracking form. He been aggressive in the way he's gone about his business, but not silly. He is smart but he's also precocious. Hit a 7.90 target on the weekend so he'll take some stopping again. GP 11000. Last three runs below par, but a wily old veteran who's been at the very top in the not recent past. Managed a 4.70 five runs back then a 2.40. Usually bangs one in and will probably do so again. It'll make him hard to beat. Islander 13112. The Canadian Assassin comes into this weekend with brilliant form in the book. Is known to keep a pretty low profile, which best suits the man from the cold North. He survives on stealth and nerves of steel and is to be taken on only by those who have experience in the trenches. Cyc 22311. The Down Under Wonder looked bloody wonderful last weekend. His form looks great and has a great condition about him. But the form book is a little misleading. Those two wins were at cramped odds as were his placed efforts. He survives on his wits, not talent. Red. 12220. Entered the Leagues with a bang on Saturday. Didn't hit the big winner, but kept firing in the good shots. Has been around the traps and knows how to get the job done. Like an Exocet, has the ability to fly under the radar and cause havoc. Danish 22310. Not too much known about this bright new star on the horizon, other than he had the ability to run a true course. Great form, seems to have the right temperament and the mystery of a little known past to aid him. He's precocious, but talented. Oddy 00130. Form looks a bit dodgy of late, but we've said that all season long about German performances. And they won the blood Arc, so no reason why they cant win the Singles Cup as well. Looks as though the money has come for the interloper, and althought he looks a bit thin in the market, somebody expects him to go well. Must be his wife or kids. Wooly 02100. Took a bit of a hit on Saturday and had to suffer a relegation. He's an honest performer who can get the job done as well as the next person, but his form of late leaves a bit to be desired. He can hang in there with the best of them though, so a win would not surprise.
Cyc - I'm going Jose Mourinho on you!! I'm creating a siege mentality around my camp it's Carronhills against the world... I might try and use home advantage and pinch it in extra time
Shocked to see the odds indicate I'm the favourite for my tie - relishing the opportunity to battle it out with the more established talent. I may yet be lumped into the 'showed potential but never made into much' category!!
