No it isn't - he said typical, not average.

It's still generalising to a extent, he is saying adam conforms to a type of a young guy. I have never seen a guy like adam before <laugh>

I can't be bothered to read through the rest of this pathetic excuse for a thread to see if anyone else has said this, but this is the biggest pile of bollocks I've seen.

I've met John a couple of times, and he's a genuine, lovely bloke with a huge passion for his club. The reason he looks in such a bloody state on matchdays is because he's piss drunk!! Outside of Pompey, he's a really polite person, hell, he even is at games when he's swaying!

I've never met John Westwood but I have heard him being interviewed at various times. He comes over Sunday - Friday as a normal decent human being with considered views.

On Saturdays and for mid-week matches he is doing what he wants to do. Maybe he's a bit eccentric - but honestly who cares? (Apart from AdamBanana). He isn't hurting anyone so live and let live and let him do his thing.

He plays the bugle like nobody else can - and provides me with a good laugh at the match.

It doesn't warrant a whole thread though surely.

Enough of this you plonkers. JW's football persona is a living parody of a football fan taken to the extreme, that's all. Outside of football he is a quiet, softly spoken gentle guy. He is an acknowledged expert in antiquarian books and runs his family shop in Petersfield as he has done for the best part of 30 years now. He loves his club and his beer, that's about it really. Oh, and he really winds a lot of you buggers up big time. <laugh>

With Westwood its clearly an attention issue any sort of fame will do he would stick his head in a bucket of **** to get noticed it makes him no more a passionate fan than your average home and away skate follower. You can liken him to the rubbish act who is x factor every year say Jedward, the chinese woman who pushed her growler into Gary Barlows face or his brother without the tattoos Wagner you get the drift no conceivable talent but famous all the same good for him if it floats his HMS Victory . To be fair he has achieved his goal as the cameras always find his repulsive face when panning the crowd. I have to confess we have a photo of him on our mantle piece it does keep the kids away from the fire

This maybe be a pointless thread because the guy we are talking about is such a waste of space and people like him would love to know there is a debate going on about him!

Despite who he supports how many tattoos he has, whether he carries a bell lol travels to every game or whatever, the bottom line is if somebody urinates all over another teams stadium drunk or not he is still scum! If I could have anything for Xmas I would love a chance to shove that stupid bell he carries up his @$$!

If he was a Saints fan dressing up the way he does in red and white, I'd be embarrased that our entire fan base was epitomised by this "freak"!! It's one thing being passionate about your team, but he has taken it way, way too far. It may come as a surprise to some, but there's more to life than football (not much, I'll grant you).

And, if his behaviour is a result of him being p****d, what are P****y doing letting him the ground. If a saints fan had turned as drunk as him you can be damn sure they wouldn't have in.
