Bamby on ice - he is so weak when he runs he always falls over! Or do you think he is a premiership gem?

Personally I think why the **** hasnt he been removed from the squad!

Pure determination which has got him where it has today. No real end product, a very good Championship player at best. BUT was one of our biggest threats yesterday which says it all......

Of all the players yesterday, I can't believe Mackie is getting so much stick, sometimes I wonder if I'm watching the same game.
How many times did he skin Evra? And before I hear no end product,he set Bothroyd up for what should've been a goal, yesterday.
Youngs 2 goals, Helgusons v WBA came from his driving run and that's just of the top my head.
Do a poll on SWP, I'd drop him before Jamie.

Somewhere in between for me. He certainly justifies a place in the squad but I'd rather see him on the left cutting in like he did for Scotland thus allowing SWP to play on the right.

He's certainly not weak- have you seen him? The bloke is ripped. The goals at Derby or Leicester certainly wouldn't have been scored by a weak player.

IMO the problem mackie has is that he like our other 3 first choice midfielders can run miles but are not creative enough. Look guys, the main problem we have at the moment is that we are not creating enough goal scoring chances, and therefore we are not scoring enough. Simple as. Now i know people on this board have their individual favourites, bit quite simply our midfield is malfunctioning. Mackie is a determined chap but his end product like SWP, Barton and Faurlin is not up to Prem standard at the moment. We do not seem to be "having a go". It's like we are playing with shackles on. Everybody afraid to make a mistake. Unfortunately thats a sign of low confidence.

Funny how we all await his return with bated breath then slag him on his return. As far as I can see there are a handful of players worth chucking some metaphorical rocks at well ahead of Mackie. Try Bothroyd, Barton and Taraabt for starters. Taraabt has a good 20 minutes or so yesterday and he's a top bloke again in the eyes of many contributors here.

Is Mackie a Bamby (sic)? No, I think he's closer to a Barmby.

It's the QPR way. If they have an above average game they're destined for England caps and top 4 clubs, if they have a below average game they're not good enough for the team, division, human race etc etc.

While some on her seem to be having a Mackie bash, lets remember - almost a year out, plus four yars ago playing non league footie. the boy has done very well to get to where he is, and I still think there is more to come from him. If we can sign a few more premier experienced players in Jan, and he can learn from SWP, then we will get a litttle gem. He has pace, he will run all day, he scores and sets up goals.......he ain't the finished article but give him sme time. I remember Wayne Fereday - one of the quickest players I have ever seen and his crossing wasn't always the most accurate...but he played a few hundred games in blue and white hoops.

he's a tryer i'll give him that but quality of crossing was poor, mind you he wasn't the only at it yesterday, got in good positions then blew & to top it all bartons free kick in ijury what the fcck was that about.

Mackie is simply nowhere near being a PL player, he runs with his head down and usually into trouble, he doesn't have a good touch and can't cross the ball.... nuff said.

    absolutely one hundred percent agree.

head down and just runs, there really is no end product.

People love his determination but that is all he has for me.

Everyone has favourites, i prefer people with a footballing brain as oppose to the athletes in the game. Mackie is an athlete for me, not a footballer.

If you could amalgamate Mackie's attitude to Tarbs skill, what a player we'd have on our hands.

Some of us are consistent with our views re Adel!!

I know Mackie's end product can be poor but look at the examples Northolt has given!
I think this is a silly poll. He's somewhere between the two choices imo.
