It is possible!! But we can't get away from the fact that it's still three very tough games. If we are going to break our away-day no wins duck, well Goodison will be a good place to start!! For me, no pussying around anymore in midfield, Agustien has got to start!! I'll take a draw now, but please Santa. Can we have our first away win this Christmas?? I'll be a good Jack!! A win & no less against QPR & I'll take a point with Harry's boys' now!! So take being on 23pts into 2012, but 25pts would be Santatastic......
An away win will come,hopefully Everton,that would really lift the team.yes 23 ok,but 25 even 27 would be fantastic.Not impossible !
I was hoping for 3 wins in December against Blackburn,Fulham and QPR and i was hoping for a point against Everton . Newcastle and Spurs are Bonus games for me,the most important ones are against the teams around us,which we arnt doing very well against so far
Personally i would be happy with another park the bus performance against Everton to get a point. They are a very good side who should have brushed Norwich a side yesterday. QPR will be tough game and cant see us getting anything against Spurs...would be more than happy with a point. 3-4 Points and i will be a very happy Swans fan. 5-6 (win and a draw or two wins) and I'd be in heaven. Anything above that and i may start believing in an organised religion!! But to answer the original post: 7 points int he next 3 games is it possible.....anything is possible but i just dont see it happening!
Agree but wait in hope but i'd settle for a point at Everton ...tough ugly win against QPR i think that will be a dogfight and a cracker (no pun intended) for the fans.....and although another tough one we might get something out of spurs but i cant see it ...so 4 points
Just had a look at the fixtures for everyone over the period for the next 3 games and i thought i would run through the BBC predictor quickly just for a giggle and giving us 4 points (everton draw, win against QPR and a loss to Spurs) i still got us @ 11th....9 points and a sizeable amount of goal difference from the relegation zone which is v.v.good
I'd love us to get 4 points from the next 3 - a draw at Everton and 3 points off QPR, I think Spurs will get the three points agianst us though. That would give us 21points at the halfway mark and on the homeward run to hopefully Premiership safety. I was listening to the radio today and a Bolton fan was saying that if they lose their next three they are faced with having to replicate a team like Chelsea or Spur's first half season's form to enable them to get 40 points! A sobering thought! I think about 37 points may be good enough this year to stay up so if we could get to 21 points at the turn then possibly only 16/17 points needed from 19 games - come on you super Swans.
Yes we know Tottenham is the hardest game out of the 3,but man u beat us only 1-0.Its now half time against Sunderland and its 0-0,so if we do play well against them,a draw or a win is not beyond us.I am hoping for 7 points, very tough i know, its the same with the lottery, live in hope, but 7 points is easier than the lottery.lol
4pts is the minimum and the most likely outcome. everton..loss.....spurs...draw and a win, i would love more but we just ain't good enough against big sides....YET...
4 points is my prediction as i stated but although spurs will start favourites by the bookies , we can do it ,we have in the past famously...so although i am a bit of a realist there is nowt wrong with a drop of optimism
I'd be happy with 4 points to be honest too, and agree with pretty much you have to say - that would take us to 22pts too, not 21 bud
Hang on Bongo, we`re only allowed one realist ........................... and that`s Dai. 7 points in the next 3 games? ........... hmmmmm we`ll have to be more attack focused, and score the goals. The way we`re playing we`ll be lucky to get 3 or 4 points.
spurs is a tough one to call they are a bloody good team and may have to much in the tank for a side like us littered with championship standard players. i hope vorm is on top form and gets us a draw. qpr wont be a walk over either and i think everton on home soil will scrape home......my best hope is 4pts but on paper its 1pt...........roll on january...now that is what's called realism with a touch of optimism.......
You guys know I like to drop in here from time to time and try to balance the discussion a little so here's my tuppence worth Everton away - Will depend how good their shooting is. They have been good going forwards, just firing too many blanks as they did against us at the weekend and of course Swans still need to get passed this away game syndrome they have. Best to hope for - draw QPR home - From what I have seen from both teams this season and bearing in mind your good home record - Swans win Tottenham home - Tricky but I think you might draw this one, or perhaps sneak a narrow win although Spurs are equally capable of tearing just about any defence apart on their day. Aston Villa away - Hope it's a better game this time! The 0-0 was not brilliant to watch although Swans passed the ball around as predicted. As it's an away game again I feel the best you can hope for is a draw but you never know. If you manage 6 points or more from those 4 games I think you will have done pretty well and well on the road to safety but I think perhaps 4 points will your total
who cares what's possible, everton's next, and that 's the only one i'm worried about. you know we have never beaten everton before.
Well Doctor, maybe its our first win against Everton and also our first win away, this season.Sorry i am going for 7 pts out of 9.maybe its the xmas spirit or the thai beer.merry xmas to you all from Thailand.fingers crossed and legs and toes.
Of the next four games, all four can be easily won or lost. Spurs is the only match where I think the opposition is a cut above us, the other three teams are on par with us. It's going to be interesting to see how BR juggles his line-up with games so closely grouped, especially the Spurs / Villa pairing.
