Work placement boy, that really says it all. This might just be my perspective but when I had my work experience I had all the dirty jobs and did have an initiation, maybe this was his initiation. Also, I wasn't aware it was an air rifle, perhaps he didn't clean his boots properly? Or dry his training kit? He probably bruised the lad, what people print to make a headline eh.
