    Just watching the scousers line up..

    The infamous 4-5-1....

    Downing wide right with young Jordan next to him..

    Then Bellamy on the other side with Adam next to him, (with someone else in the centre, didn't take that much notice)

    Suarez lone striker...

    Lot of support in midfield there...

    Is this a good formation? Guessing with the correct support it could work.


    Downing getting grief already of the villa fans...

    Wouldn't be surprised to see us line up like that today.

    We have to stop the Spurs wingers by any means possible, 2v1 could be the answer.

    As you say, it all depends on the quality of the midfield players...If you have players in there who are genuinely capable of supporting the striker, then it has been proved to work well on many occasions..

    It's the liverpool supporters that Downing will be hoping not to upset with his **** final ball. :p

    It's good when you get plenty players supporting the lone striker, often when we play it our striker is isolated.
