Just been on MOTD. Full of **** as usual. When Blackburn get relegated I wonder if Paul Robinson might fancy a move to the team he used to watch as a boy? I appreciate there will be some who wouldn't want him for obvious reasons but we might need an experienced keeper in the PL next season. UTT.
I appreciate it's highly unlikely and his wage demands would be too high but stranger things have happened.
think his transfer fee would be out of reach for us, and other more established pl clubs would want him as well. as for Kean - has any interviewer asked him what it will take for him to resign, he seems to be of that type of manager who is quite willing to get his team relegated rather than admit he is out of his depth and he knows that no team of a similar stature will ever employ him again (why am i thinking of another manager in the last few years who fits those criteria)
I've always wondered how he got the job in the first place, OK he's had the odd good result but surely Rovers would of been much better off sticking with Big Sam
At the moment Blackburn are drifting. The foreign owners know almost nothing about football and the leagues, and have no-one of any stature to turn to for advice. They had an experienced Manager and sacked him. Steve Kean is the only football voice at the club, so they cling to him as they don’t have connections or know how to get someone else in, or who to turn to. Steve Kean seems happy with that. The players know that as long as Kean is there they can play on. Is there another team (one in the midlands) where this scenario could soon be applied to?
I thought on MOTD that some of the Blackburn players looked absolutely shattered coming off the pitch at the end.......... what a nightmare for everyone, fans, players and yes the manager too. Someone put them out of their misery please!!
He was cheap compared to others. For me he is delusional to the point now were he is making himself look stupid.
It's looking more and more likely that Big Sam will be giving them a wave as they swap places in the PL / Championship. How fitting. The decision to get rid of him was perplexing, the decision the keep Kean is suicidal in footballing terms.
The really sad thing (if you support Blackburn) is that a decent manager might still be able to turn things around and get them to safety. I mean, many of the teams above them are total garbage and would happily roll over and die if Blackburn knew what they were doing. But they are run by headless chicken(farmer)s!!
I personally feel Steve Kean has received far too much criticism from the Blackburn fans. Yes, Blackburn have gone backwards since he took control however to me it looks like the majority of the fans have simply jumped on the anti-Kean bandwagon for little reason other than it seems the popular thing to do. The booing of Yakubu and Kean when Blackburn went 1-0 just because they celebrated together was disgusting. Blackburn fans need to get behind the team during games if they want things to improve.
I agree with Proud Tiger completely. It's the cool thing to say Kean is **** now. What about Coyle? Bolton have a top half side and are bottom with 9 points. Is Coyle ****, clueless, etc too? Or is the PL just a very hard league where any of about 10 teams can end up where the bottom ones are now. The other thing to remember is that the promoted teams will start to plummet. I don't see why Big Sam gets so much praise to. He's an absolute joke, he sets up every team he manages to just destroy the game and in every interview he does he talks the biggest pile of **** ever. Last week when he got a player sent off for booting Jimmy Kebe (who I usually hate because he's a cheat) he said the Reading players were gloating at them. FFS they played a one-two and that was enough to piss his thugs off. If the biggest team in the league can't cope with losing a game without making random **** up there's a problem. He just seems a vile man to me. Back on topic, Robinson is one of the best 'keepers in the PL and very underrated. It's a stupid scenario that he and Foster won't play for England any more when they are our next best after Hart. I'd love him here, but I'd expect him to go somewhere better.
I agree too. Kean comes across as a decent bloke. Allardyce is anti football and on the fukin take for years.
I don't. He comes across as a smug, clueless tit. Wasn't it jolly decent of him to get in his car pissed up the other month as well? With a bit of luck he might have knocked someone over.
