The effort he put in was huge musty, not his fault he had hardly any service he worked his nuts off to get the slightest sniff of the ball

What a complete load of ****e. We absolutely dominated the game today, and if it wasn't for an extremely rugged defence, we would have won comfortably.

There are plenty of nice humble Swansea fans, then there's always one plank <doh>

Im a plank because i think Newcastle are an average prem team am i ?? come back at the end of the season and we will see where you finish up. Sorry for not blowing sunshine up your arse mate but thats how i view your team, average. ;)

The game today was poor from both sides, though your team were far better than us and really should have won,but that didnt happen, i predict a long hard winter for both teams but i really do wish you all the best for the season it would be great to see newcastle finish in the euro places but i cant see it myself <ok>

I thought Jazz and Caulker did very well, considering the pressure that Newcastle put on us, it was a high tempo game from start to finish, I did expect Newcastle to run out of steam towards the end of the game, but other than a few cramps they kept it going right up until final whistle. For me this was a game that demonstrated, that Rodgers is moving to strengthen our away game, and we didn't look like a team today that had struggled on the road all season. I'm sure our boys and Rodgers will be very upbeat after today, with this very impressive defensive display, yes there are things we can improve on going forward, and supply to Graham is one of those issues, which I'm sure will be addressed by Rodgers, I smell an away win on the horizon lads! Well done to Rodgers and the boys today, that for me was one hell of a performance at St James' Park!........................

norway's right here, i think cabaye is an excellent player but apart from him and ba theres not much real quality left having lost all those players in the summer, and you say you would have won comfortably but thats what sets apart the top sides from the rest, the big teams can still score goals when the opposition sit back and take the pressure, the others struggle to put the ball through the eye of the needle, its no fluke that newcastle have gone off the boil recently <ok>

I was expecting a little bit of a hammering today, so a draw is very well received by me. By the sound of it the Toon were all over us, so not to concede whether by luck or judgement has got to be a plus. Now we must build on this and go all out for that elusive away victory.

I did`nt see or hear the game, but if the players were THAT bad, then that bodes well for the future, surely they won`t be that bad again. Newcastle are a good team and to hold them to not scoring is a great result. Their finishing might have been cr@p, but hey they did`nt score. Let`s see how we do against Everton, that might give us a better idea of our future.

I would just like to say that Norway is a very nice plank though!...........<laugh> Without Ba Newcastle would struggle up front, but that's what teams need at this level....................

How come falling just outside of the euro places means that a team is 'average'?

Ahhh it's sad when people comment on things they have no idea about.

    Cabaye
    Tiote
    Coloccini
    Steven Taylor
    Krul
    Ba
    Ben Arfa

Are all excellent players who wouldn't look out of place in a top 4 side.

If you've barely watched any of our games or took any real notice of what's happening, it's a bit ridiculous to comment on the quality of our team. I bet you're one of those people who thinks that Nolan was one of our best players, right? Even though he was actually quite a poor CM. It's this exact sort of uninformed opinion which has the doommongers all over us.

So, when we drew with Man Utd and they couldn't get the winning goal, it means that they aren't a top side? <doh>

Chappaz, Swamp is a Cardiff fan. Not to be confused with Swans fans.

At least we did better today than we did two years ago.

That's what has been at the back of my mind all day, our boys are growing in strength and confidence, and I would just like to congratulate Britton and Williams on a particularly great shift today, we are growing lads!!..............

"How come falling just outside of the euro places means that a team is 'average'?"

Eerr.. Because that would mean you finished 9th,10th or 11th which means you would be average!! not good ,not bad in the middle ..or average ;)

Look mate im sure your team will do you proud, you know more about them than me and i didnt mean to offend you or your team, i think they are average you dont, im fine with that. As for all those players that would play in a top 4 club, well , you better hope that they dont !! though id say krul, ben arfa and on current form Ba are your only top top players.

good luck for the season mate

have you looked at the league table? where are they? how many games have they lost in the league?

of the players you listed, 2 of which i have acknowledged are excellent players, the rest, possibly tiote apart are good players, but not top drawer by any means, just because newcastle have overperformed so far does not mean that you've suddenly become a top 4 team, you will do well to finish in the top 10... ben arfa has been around for ages, theres been 'big clubs' supposedly after him for years, yet they've never signed him, the fact that last season he joined a promoted team on loan tells you marseille werent in a rush to keep him, i'm not denying he's got talent, just that he's at newcastle for a reason, i'll leave you to ponder why..

twisting my words to suit your own argument does not make you right, by the way. when i refer to players yoi've lost, i refer to them as a collective, not that nolan going means that its the end of the world, anyway, the fact that he's ended up in the championship says alot..

I'll tell you what's average at Newcastle, Pardew!! Just watch this space, don't rate him, and he'll soon be out of his depth, Toon should have stuck with their previous manager, he's twice the manager Pardew will ever be!.........

Pardew im not sure about, says all the right things and seems to be doing a good job,the players are obviuosly playing for him,its when/if Newcastle hit a bad run of form we will find out about him and his team, if Mike Ashley finds out he has 7 players that should be at a top 4 club then expect movement in January !! ;)

If you guys attack we may have more of a chance to be honest. We just couldn't break down a very defensive plan today, there were too many Swansea players in the box!

If you guys do take a more defensive approach, it will hopefully leave you more exposed at the back and make it a rather open ended game. Should be good.

I'm astonished you fail to notice Tiote, who is arguably our best player and is being touted for a £25million move to Chelsea as a replacement for Essien.

Who says they have to be top drawer? They just have to be above average, which they are. Where as some players are well above average, and it's those stars which take us up to another level.

You've said that 2/3 players of ours are 'excellent' and the rest of them are good, yet you're claiming we're an average side and would be lucky to finish in the top 10 <doh>

Why? Because he went on strike at Marseille to force through a move to Newcastle, so not only did we get him, but we also got him at cut price. The chance to play in the Premier League is also considered quite a step up from Ligue 1. Voila. Plenty of reasons.

I noticed tiote alright, spent most of the game kicking our players and leaving his foot in !! hard not to notice him to be honest <laugh>

£25 m quid you say ?? the only thing i can say to that is do you think Andy carroll is a £35m player ?? exactly !! :)
