Seems harsh to leave out several others, Pandur for the penalty save, McBurnie for the goal and Hughes, Crooks for all round performance.
Millar looked up for it in his cameo and even Akintola put in a better short spell.

A well earned win that would have been easier with better finishing .
1. Pandur - clean sheet and good penalty save . An equaliser then could of seen the game go either way .
2. Slater- a terrier like performance
3. Giles - defended when he needed to but going forward delivered some excellent crosses .
All the team played their part but had the odd suicide moment too

1: Pandur - Any keeper that saves a pen to keep their team in the lead is deserving of an automatic MOTM.
2: Slater, defensively fantastic, has an engine on him and bar the odd below par match, has really taken his game to a new level this season.
3: Giles, should have had 3 assists tonight. Technically one of the best crossers of a ball I’ve ever seen. Different player compared to last season and finally putting a shift in that matches the ability we’ve known all along he has.

Team performance, everyone did their jobs well, couple of brain farts excluded.

1. Giles - fabulous gane going forward, the deliveries he put in last night were absolute quality

2. Crooks - again involved in everything good last night but for his 2 mistakes which could have cost us would have been my no.1

3. Slater - got involved all night, and for me had his best game of the season

But tbh there were many outstanding performances last night and great to see the returning gems getting some game time

1.Crooks. Broke up loads of their play, maybe a little clumsy on the odd occasion but he is the kingpin and the steel in midfield that we often lack.
2. Slater, best game for a long time. Best fifty grand the club has ever spent.
3. Giles, every time the ball is played to him wide of the penalty area we looked like scoring.

Last nights performance was as good as Friday's was bad,
Great reception for McBurnie, great goal poachers goal and great to see him back.
Everyone put in a decent performance last night, so Fridays ****show has already been forgotten about.
Has to be said that Wrexham were as bad as we were v Boro.
