Given how much money Wrexham have spent, they look a really poor side.

I thought Wrexham were one of the poorest teams we've played out of possession tonight, they really didn't press us effectively and let us progress up the pitch relatively simply on a number of occasions, they had 2 great chance both of which came from our own ineptitude rather than their ability and on another day I don't think they could have argued if we'd had 4 or 5......end of the day everyone in this league has their bad games, like we did on Fri, just glad to catch them on one of theirs. Looking forward to Miwwaw on Sat now, still don't think they've got much about them and fancy us to go there and get 3 points, esp with the depth we have back on the bench with McBurnie, Belloumi and Millar back, makes a big big difference

I’m not sure how the Sky pundit gave Crooks MOTM, I didn’t even think he was the best of our 3 midfielders. Not that he had a bad game (penalty challenge aside) but I thought Slater was immense tonight and back to the sort of form he was showing up to a few games ago.

    Yep slater off the ball
Was always in the right areas

    Won tackles
    50/50s
    Even won a few headers

    Inteceptions
    Genuinely a masterful performance

He allowed crooks and gyabi to be further up
And it left us so much more secure defensively

He had that awful touch that gave Moore that chance too. I do think he improved a lot in the final 30 minutes and started to play a bit more like the way we know he’s capable of but I didn’t think he was having the best time for the majority of the game.

Over half way there.....not even played half the games, and am I right in saying every one of his assists is from open play too??

The highest number of Championship assists produced from a defender in a single season is 14 - Kieran Trippier (Burnley, 13/14) and Barry Douglas (Wolves,17/18)

Much needed result tonight. Clean sheet and a goal for McBurnie. Any win, no matter who you play or how you get it is a good result in my book.

2 or 3 great crosses from
Giles today that should have been put away but nobody there on the end of it , I couldn’t resist saying Mcburnie would have been on that , and 5 mins after coming on right on cue , can’t teach that proper striker instinct

Just seen sky’s 4mins of replays, love that mo went off the pitch so as not to be offside, the cross and finish for the second goal is an absolute thing of beauty. Panda’s penalty save is superb, went the right way and got a strong hand to a shot that was really travelling. Boom ****ing Boom !!!

About to post the same. Anyway, with most of the best players fit this is a top 6 team if they sort out the defense which they did tonight. This Wrexham team is the worst they've played so far this season so let's not get too carried away. Saturday at Millwall will tell us where we are, not tonight.

Wrexham were absolutely dire tonight, but looking at the run they've been on and league position, it's probably just a gash performance than the norm.

We were very good, but we seem always to hover over the self destruct button - that unfathomable urge to chuck your car keys and wallet into the River Hull.

I think it took us until mid/ate Feb to breach 30 pts last season - some improvement.

Think one was a free kick. Might’ve been against Southampton for a McBurnie header.
