He's probably applied for some media role (while waiting to get back into management) and got denied and think he is better than what's current out there and feels because he's a man and played the game, he should have some god given right to get a job in media over females.
He’s gone absolutely bloody nuts hasn’t he? Thank god he’s not our manager anymore because he’s clearly lost the plot and is being grossly offensive and misogynistic just for the sake of it.
Completely lost the plot indeed. No problem with having an opinion but he was out of order yesterday. Online bullying making unnecessary insults to people just trying to do a job. I'm not keen at all on Aluko as pundit or commentator. But putting up a recent clip of her taking shots with Jimmy Bullard, just to make fun of her with how she runs and kicks a ball (baring in mind he retired quite a while ago), is just out of order. A few people in football (past and present) never even played the game - like Motty for example. So mocking Aluko like how he did and using that as an excuse for why he thinks she shouldn't be a pundit or commentator and using her to say ALL women shouldn't be in the men's game is just wrong. Should be based on ability. Yes Aluko doesn't have that but just not needed to be so personal like he did. ITV posted a response and Barton has picked a fight with them now. Gary Neville responded as well and Barton has actually threatened him along with name calling. Can't see him ever getting another manager job in this country and the way he's picking on women on the BBC, ITV, SKY, TNT and other channels, it's extremely doubtful he will get the chance to be a pundit or commentator. I despise the guy so much.
He’s trying to set himself up as the Lawrence Fox / Katy Hopkins of football because he knows any serious career in the sport is now closed to him. Absolute clown.
Not sure about Fox, but Katy Hopkins has posted a ringing endorsement to him on twitter. what wonderful times we live in .
JB sentenced yesterday to 6 months in prison suspended for 18 months, the judge said Barton's comments crossed the line
He's never learnt from his ways and clearly he never will. It was his bad management that sent us down and I still stand by my opinion that he should never have been our manager and should have been sacked once we were relegated. Obviously he stayed and won us promotion which I am grateful of BUT it's because of him that I fell out of love with Rovers and therefore out of love for football and that put a dampener on our promotion. We've been relegated since and I'm positive it will happen again this season after breaking our record of losing 9 in a row, and to be honest, I'm no where near as angry as I should be about it as I'm just numb about it all as the love for the club hasn't returned since JB was sacked. I had hoped DC might have brought that back for me but the players performances and results have just made it difficult. I just want my Rovers back. Couldn't care now about whatever division it's in. I just want to be proud to be a gashead again, supporting players who fight and give everything for the shirt and club. But the club is rotting away to which I no longer recognise.
