Should we be staring our 2026 Transfer Thread to cover January and the summer? Here's one to kick off. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...s/seven-premier-league-giants-linked-32992120 I hope we can keep them in January despite big financial pressure. The summer could be much tougher although getting back to the Championship will help us.
And another rumour from Glen https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport...cardiff-city-aston-villa-sunderland-32991487#
It’s inevitable he’ll go but doubt it’ll be mid season. If Lawlor goes to a PL club what’s the betting he’ll be in the U-21’s like Biancheri at Man U or be loaned out like Crew who’s on loan at League 1 Doncaster?
I could see Lawlor being treated differently due to his experience with us and international games. He is already highly thought of. The two you mentioned were very inexperienced before moving on. Kpakio would also be in the same bracket as Lawlor. They have both signed long term contracts which makes them a lot more valuable than Biancheri and Crew who were nicked for peanuts, like others before them, as on academy contracts when leaving.
Who he?....................... https://insidefutbol.com/2025/12/10/cardiff-city-in-contact-over-signing-winger/700394/
He’s some player, picked out with a pin by some football journo, to get a story. We’ll probably never hear of him again.
Looks less than bang average from his stats. 86 games, 2 goals and a few assists. Mo Salah he is not. He has a Palestinian back ground. Jourmo sees that and thinks, "Hmm, another Salech".
I hope it isnt one of Tan's picks. BBM hasnt gone to Tan for many signings. Hope he'll say 'NO' if it isnt someone he wants. We need more goals from out wide, but any signing needs to be better than Ashford, Zac, Willock and Tanner to be considered.
Not a January signing, but as good a place as any to post it. Cardiff City have tied down young goalkeeper Luke Armstrong to a new long-term contract. The 19-year-old has agreed fresh terms that will keep him in the Welsh capital until the summer of 2028, extending a stay that began when he joined the club from Wolves at the age of 16.
Good news. Another young prospect signed up for a longer term. If the vultures start to circle it will cost them a nice sum. Good forward thinking. As I said last week we are doing a good job in protecting our assets unlike a few years ago.
If they’re quicker than those you mentioned then that would be an asset. Someone with genuine pace would be devastating on the break.
If that guy is quick there is no evidence of an end product. Okay maybe be played in sides with no good strikers but stats are stats.
