probably true. Senegal have a very deep squad. No point risking a spot on one player coming back from injury playing no games doubt he’ll feature on Sunday, but defo next weekend.
Diarra hasn't been selected mate. Senegal announced there squad a couple of days ago and he wasn't in it https://www.espn.co.uk/football/team/squad/_/id/654/sen Edit* Sorry that may be bum info, according to this article he might still be called up: https://africasoccer.com/afcon-2025...jakobs-reassure-fans-with-return-from-injury/
I don't think that's right, according to the Beeb Ivory Coast haven't announced their squad yet: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cy7vnn5rg5jo I think this is where we're at currently: Going to AFCON Sadiki, DR Congo Masuaku, DR Congo Reinildo, Mozambique Traore, Burkina Faso Not going to AFCON Adingra, Ivory Coast Squads not yet announced Diarra, Senegal Talbi, Morocco
My head hurts with this mate . According to ESPN, Senegal announced their squad a coupe of days ago. I posted it on two threads on here and Diarra wasn't included. That second article I posted is now saying that he could be a call up anytime up to the official announcement on 11th December. I guess it's back to a waiting game It could actually be a good thing him going to Afcon and getting time on the grass. If he stays with us he will need a couple of 90 minutes to get match fit
Perfect opportunity for thr lad to show what he can do now. Still have high hopes for him. On the fence with diarra, ideally like him to stay and work his way back, but good opportunity for him and we can’t really stand in his way.
I haven't seen it mentioned much,.... this lad was our top spend in the summer, but his injury has meant we've achieved what we have up till now without him. I'm really hoping that his national ambitions don't get in the way of his second half of the season with us....he's quality.
Diarra will be a massive player for us. Had t fully clicked when took the knock but you can see the quality. We also seen him absolutely dominate England. He will be a big big player for us.
