    Match Preview;

    Our visitors on Tuesday night, Birmingham City, have won 2, drawn 1 and lost 2 in their last 5. They sit 8th, on 28 points, so only ahead of us on goal difference. Their manager, Chris Davies, retired from playing at 19 due to injury, and turned to coaching. Having learnt his trade coaching at youth level, he became Brendan Rodgers' assistant at Swansea, Liverpool, Celtic and Leicester before becoming assistant to Ange Postecoglou in June 2023. After being an assistant boss for 15 years, he took the step up to the managerial role at Birmingham City in June 2024, after they were relegated to League One. In his first season in charge, he not only got them promoted back to the Championship, he not only won League One, but he did it by amassing the most ever league points in world professional football...winning the division with 111 points. Their top scorer so far is Jay Stansfield, with 8 goals.

    As for us, I'll be honest, I have only seen the highlights from yesterday...couldn't watch, but in Kone and Burrell it looks like we have a proper front line, that can pressure opposition defence and take chances when they come. More of the same, and we'll be comfortably sitting in the top 6, and I'll begin to get excited. We are currently 10th, bottom of three clubs on 28 points, and so one win and other results going our way could take us up to as high as 4th. Without wanting to get ahead of myself, we are in a much better position than I thought we'd be in at this stage of the season...and it is hard not to get excited. To keep perspective, a big loss and other results going against us, and we are only 3 points ahead of 16th.

    Team news and manager comments to go up asap, enjoy if you'll make it HQ on Tuesday night, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

    It’s a pity, Rooney isn’t in charge, 3 points before we turn would’ve been nice. Do hope we can beat Tom Brady, who l can’t stand.

    Meeting up with 4 old (in every sense) mates in the afternoon before we stagger to Shepherds Bush for the match. One is a Blues fan, so I’ve parked them behind the twat in the hat for the duration.

    It’s essential that we win.

    And that it’s not too chilly.

    Cheers Dave.
