Shambles of an innings & had high hopes of winning this series! Doesn’t look like it now, let Aussies score far to many runs in their innings

Bat two sessions tomorrow, get a lead of 150 and skittle them out in the dark. 35/1 get on.

 

Probably be over the time I wake up but hopefully not

Two England batsmen playing with caution and they'ye managed to bat through a session without a wicket falling. This is where Stokes is at his best.

Now 211-6 and a lead of 34. Get through another session and it's on.

 

Jacks gone, but he's batted well in this Test.

Stokes batting with the tail and Australia have blown all their reviews.

Catches win matches. Smith may deserve to be in Guantanamo Bay but the catch off Jacks changed the game and probably made the difference between them winning in 10 overs by nine wickets and winning in 25 overs by seven wickets.

I did like his determination though.

 

Good article in yesterday's Sunday Times by Simon Hughes about the appalling bowling by England in the 1st innings, basically bowling half trackers trying to bounce the Aussies out.... of the first 380 balls bowled by England only 20 were hitting the stumps.... doing that takes 2 forms of dismissal out of play, bowled and lbw.... and I thought the batting in the 1st innings was brain dead, seems the bowling was as well.....
