UEFA should have put their foot down a decade ago and refused to compete in the 2018 world cup . FIFA would have **** their pants . **** them and run a Euro 2018 the world cup would have been shafted .
At my age this could be the last World Cup I see but sadly I have little interest in it. With the bloated format there will too many one sided matches and dead rubbers. The number of matches and the weather Will mean a lot of matches will rest on just one moment. Something Tuchel to be fair has already alluded to.
Well, if i'm really, really really desperate for summat to watch, I might grab a match but I definitely doubt it.
Cant wait for it to start...me & mrs t1970 are going over there to try and watch a game in all three countries...probably our last chance to see a world cup live!!!!
England games, dates, venues, ko times. 17/6/26 v....Croatia...in Dallas ko 16.00 23/6/26 v.....Ghana...in Boston ko 16.00 27/6/26 v.....Panama..in New Jersey ko 17.00 US. kick off times. UK times....10pm, 9pm, 10pm. Edit..It would appear that the ko time for the Croatia game is 9pm here.
Scotland are in the group of the acid bath. I reckon they'll struggle to beat Haiti. Never mind Brazil or Morocco....
I do, however like the fact that after deciding they’d pat Trump on the head and tell him he was a really good boy, so good in fact he’d won a trophy…they cared so much that they couldn’t even be arsed to design one so they just nicked (probably 3D printed from a stock photo) a design of a statue that Azerbaijan gave to the UN to put in Geneva
Believe it or not , the answer is Thailand "On 8 December 1941, the Japanese Empire launched an invasion of Thailand, and fierce fighting broke out in Southern Thailand before Phibun (the premier of Thailand) ordered an armistice and joined the Axis powers just five hours later. Japan was granted free passage through Thai territory, and on 21 December Thailand and Japan signed a military alliance, with a secret protocol wherein the Japanese government agreed to help Thailand gain further territories throughout southeast Asia. The Thai government then declared war on the United States and the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom, whose colony Malaya was under immediate threat from Thai forces, responded in kind, but the United States refused to declare war and ignored Thailand's declaration. The Free Thai Movement was launched both in Thailand and abroad to oppose the Thai government and Japanese occupation. After WW2 ended in 1945, Phibun was ousted and Thailand signed formal agreements to end the state of war with the Allies"
A strange one is declaring war in Finland in ww2. Germany where helping Finland fight the Russians and because Russia where allies at the time the UK had no choice .
Hard not to laugh. What if they refuse to play? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...world-cup-pride-match-egypt-iran-seattle.html
