The number of home games in that run could be significant.

    pinched this from Facebook
Cardiff City have lost 4 league 1 matches this season, i.e. Bradford City, Burton, Blackpool and Bolton, so we're not looking forward to playing Barnsley in the New Year! :emoticon-0107-sweat

OK, so we're in League One now under BBM with virtually the same players but against a lower standard (allegedly) of teams, as opposed to the Championship under Bulut/Riza.

We've got 35 points on the board already from 17 games this season, whereas it took us 34 games, twice as many to get that total last season. Projecting that to the end of this season would give us finishing on 94 points - Wrexham went up with 92.

What does this all mean ?..............F'ck nose............<laugh>

Youre falling into the pundit trap.
'We've got the same players.....'. <steam>

    It is quite stark actually.
The only player who was a regular starter in the last half of last season who is a regular starter this is Salech. Bagan was quite regular but didnt nail a position down. Colwill snr was in and out and played out of position.

Ng, Robinson, Robertson, Chambers and Willock not getting a huge amount of game time yet this year.

Regulars this year were either in the 21s, on loan or bit part players. Ashford, Davies, Turnbull, Fish, Lawlor and Kpakio.
Trott and Kellyman the only 2 new additions playing regularly.

Colwill jnr and Wintle (Davies?) on loan.
Alnwick is nowhere to be seen, Tanner injured.

Credit to BBM and his staff. Its not perfect, but you have to admire what's been done with what theyve got.

Sorry remote, but you're falling into the trap.

Apart from Trott as a fixture, Osho and Kellyman are the only new arrivals and both have been in and out of the side.

All the others, whilst they weren't being played to any extent last season by the then encumbent managers, they were still with us, viz. we haven't had to recruit externallly to get where we currently are.

All credit to Mr Brian Barry Murphy and his staff for turning around the player's mindsets and the onfield fortunes of the club. <ok>

    13 of them aren't. Fortunately.
So lets say we kept half our squad.

    You're correct in your viewpoint.
I get that technically they were with the club, but many weren't available to the managers to play, either as they were age grade (not deemed ready) or were out on loan (not deemed good enough, not deemed ready).

Ng, Robinson, Robertson, Turnbull, Chambers, Willock, Fish, Ashford, Davies, Bagan, Colwill snr and Tanner were available for the run in (I've probably missed a few). 12 out of the current squad. I suppose you could make it 13 with Alnwick.

Not all the players we had last year are with us. All bar 3 of the current squad were. Different sides of the same coin I suppose.

I doubt (m)any side coming down could have done what the club has. BBM and backroom staff a big part of it. Chesterfield, Purse, et al another big part.:emoticon-0137-clapp

I still strongly disagree with the pundits portrayal of the situation though.<grr>

The point is, whilst we have not got all the same players as last season (thank God) as the pundits allude, the players BBM is using this season were at the club last season - just not utilised by the encumbent managers at the time.

My major point is we're top of League One with existing players at the club last season, and apart from Trott, have not splashed out millions to get there.

I can't remember how much Brum forked out last year to get there, but I know they shelled out about £15M for Stansfield for a start. I can't recall the others but they spent big time.

To be fair it worked and they stormed the Division - if we can do it our way then that's a far greater achievement.
