You will ... the pain of loss diminishes with time and the memories come more with smiles than sadness - it's also the case that any pain and discomfort has ended - take care bro <rose> <hug>

    Thanks Fosse

I remember losing my Dad, he had Dementia and the last 5-6 years of his life was tough for all of us.

After he died, those 5-6 years didn't seem to matter anymore as it was more about the previous forty odd years that we'd all spent together as a family. The happy times and the memories of us all together.

It's been a tough few years with my mum, as I've probably mentioned on here at times, but none of that diminishes the life that she had and shared with us as a family

God bless you and your family mate.

Had my 88yr old mum round for tea/dinner tonight and she slipped on my ramp and split her arm open . the gash was about 4 inches long and 1/2 inch wide blood pouring out . Could i **** get her to go to A&E and i quote "i'm definitely not going till i've had dinner " . just left by taxi and in a few minutes i'm giving her a bell in the full expectation she has gone home despite the fact if she moves her arm more than 1 inch upwards blood pours out 2 hours since she did it .

GP took one look grabbed my arm and lifted it up the pain was so bad i almost threw up on him then he said "as i thought you've broken your shoulder and sent me to A&E with a note .
    Got home 29 hours later

You seen the state of NHS, especially A&E, no one goes there unless they are dying.

Only time I ever go to the NHS is via a prearranged appointment, because you are pretty much guaranteed to be seen and on time. Outside of that be prepared for a 24 hour wait.

I saw a guy one time waiting in A&E and his head was a right ****ing mess and smashed in one side, where he must have had a fall, no word of a lie no one seemed to care, it was like he was ****ing invisible.

last time 4 hr wait got [prescription for some high level antibiotics only available from the hospital pharmacy which involved another 1 1/2 hr wait .
but they worked so worth it as i felt ****ing awful.

PS on the previous post they kept me in on the A&E surplus ward was lovely quiet and nice painkillers was tempted to book in for a few days respite :bandit:

Got a text from my new GP to book a check-up for blood pressure, a blood test and that stuff. Got there 15 minutes early and signed in and they called me in TEN minutes early. Keir is delivering!

Nurse or whatever she was wasn’t bad either and I needed the bigger bicep thingy for the blood pressure. Bit concerning that I asked what a normal blood pressure range was and she had to look it up.
