Born in Blyth, moved to Cowes, moved to Newcastle, moved to Stockton. Now a soft Notherner.

That run was like watching an u11 Tyro league game. "Pass the ball son, pass it. Okay good, but pass it now. Flynn's open, lay it off. Son, pass it... Okay, f*ck it, you've beaten their entire team keep going... no don't f*cking pass it, ah, you should have kept going, son!"

Was chatting to a Brummie on the way home, who claimed to be one of Fellow's mates. Even showed me the Whatsapp conversation they'd been having that very day. I told him to tell Tom to practice his bloody shooting.

Class player though. So refreshing to see players have the freedom to do what the hell they want.

That 'selfishness' created a chance from absolutely nothing. But for a poor final ball from Scienza that could have easily been a goal. There's very few players that can dribble like that with the ball at pace and beat players. It's vital to a team, and if you have more than one player that can do it it makes it incredibly difficult for the opposition to defend against. A million times more fun to watch then an entire team of passers who never take a risk. We have that with Scienza and Fellows and having them on opposite sides of the pitch is absolutely crucial in the way we have suddenly evolved as an attacking entity. The fact that both of them can cut in or go outside is brilliant. Not to mention he's playing out of position and still has responsibilities to defend. Really surprised to see anyone criticising him tbh.

No one would be moaning if it resulted in a goal and I'd rather see that type of positive activity all day long than any amount of turgid wafting around the back...

Would add Adarma to that list too. Has a fantastic turn, lighting acceleration and probably the best vision of the three.

Couple of points, you’re absolutely bang on about Scienza and Fellows, really great signings, and Leo was, in fairness, not happy with himself on ‘that pass’ but what a change from the shrug of the shoulder approach we’ve seen back a while? The other point being what game was the critic of Fellows watching? It takes some getting used to but winning like that as you say, risks and all, makes my ticket money value a rarely discussed subject!!

Alright already. I surrender. I posted in haste. Fellows is a game turning maverick. I still think he needs to improve his shooting.

Sat next to a mate who used to ref at a high level. Apparently the rule when the ball hits the ref is that the ball returns to the team who first kicked it rather than which team that would won possession had the referee not touched the ball.

I'm in total love with Fellows (and Leo).

We've been starved of such direct dribbling for so long (bar a brief spell of Dibling). Martin would have hated Tom and Leo. Far too much forward thinking from them.
