The rumour I have heard is we really like Enrique from PSG but that was seen as the option a couple years down the line as they know they would never get him now as settled at PSG. So they may be thinking of a temporary solution until they might be able to get enrique couple years down the line.
Problem last night was Slot trying to stifle the game to early by taking attacking players off for defensive ones. We then just invited continuous pressure with no outlet. Isak was isolated on his own with no service. I would have liked to see Chiesa or Rio on for Gakpo both of whom would have given Leeds more to think about, VVD and Konate were both poor last night. Rumour that we will let Konate go in January for £15m provided we can get a replacement. Seems odd as even if we get Guehi from Palace that would only give us 4 true CB's, if one includes Gomez. I think Konate will unfortunately stay, unless he has a brilliant world cup and PSG buy him
No one is buying Konate after the WC. Hes a free transfer. Either sell in Jan for knock down price - which given his performances this year would be dirt cheap or he leaves on a free in the summer.
Apparently Robbo not happy with Slot either? I think Mo's outburst will work for Slot.The club ain't going to be seen to side with a player who's getting on a bit and who's performance is waning and demanding his place,so it'll be Slot staying short term and Mo off to Saudi.
Maybe Mo was run over by a bus as a child?.............sort of a PTSD thing going on .........thoughts?
For all the criticism thrown at Slot some of the players need to have a hard look at themselves as they just aren't performing .The team had decent balance yesterday and had the game won but crumbled once they came under pressure
Richard Keys is claiming the club wants Enrique, and has always wanted him since Klopp said he was going. I mean, I want Margo Robbie, like, but there you go. Even in a magic world, he's another who wouldn't be available until the end of the season (if at all). It does seem Slot's days are numbered, though. It's either now or at the end of the season, but either way that may well mean no players in January on what is essentially a place-holder manager.
3 - Leoni is out until Christmas 2026. We need 2 CBs in this window, but I doubt we'll even buy one as Slot is a dead man walking.
why would the right ones come? We are clearly treading water with no prospect of European football under Slot. Change now or we’re a club in limbo imo. No top players will come until we get CL football again. We still have a chance with the right person steering, we have quality.
Indeed. Both Guehi and Semenyo have many other suitors. The time to get them was last summer, especially Guehi. I said we should never have let Quansah go until Guehi was in. Neither will be keen to join a sinking ship, to be sure, and under a captain now known to be prone to steaming into icebergs.
