Piastri basically has to win though, he can’t stop too early. Max in the RedBull looks like a match for McLaren here, Max can afford to lose track position to Piastri I think, if it that’s what it takes to put Norris into jeopardy.
The key for Lando is to just keep it clean and play it safe. Drive for third place, stay out of trouble, let Max and Piastri have at it, hope the car last and for no last minute chaos. This has Max pulling something out of the bag all over it though or Macca shooting themselves in the foot.
Max can't win the championship if Piastri wins the race. So anything McLaren can do with him to force Max to keep the pace up is worth it. It might even be worth McLaren giving Norris the team order. Lando can't take a risk on lunging Max if he's backing the pack up. Oscar has to.
Perhaps it is going to be a day to remember. Expect the unexpected. Three into one doesn't go. I suspect Max will win the race in which case it will take someone like Russell to spoil the party for Norris, or otherwise a botched pit stop.
I been to this GP twice before, shame it's not a track like Brazil or Japan that hosts the last GP anymore as this track is average at best. Nice country though.
