Between 1st November 2024 and 28th February 2025 there were 386 people who attended A&E because they had hiccups. Hospital staff should have just given them a lethal injection, which would have been a kindness.
I thought the same till someone on tv this morning, he went to A&E about them sent for tests and found to have lung disease, lung pushing down on stomach caused hiccups
Happy Wedding anniversary to my beautiful wife today....55 and counting. Off to a local watering hole for a nice meal tonight. Hadn't realised we were so young when we wed.
Happy wedding anniversary Mrs & Mr Cumbrian. Have a great day and spoil her rotten, she deserves it. 55 years is a fantastic achievement
I have a system I use that I can see what people come into A&E for... paper cut was a reason spelk was another
In that same four month period I referred to earlier 3,890 people attended A&E with an ingrowing toe nail.
I know it's an advert, but this **** really happens. Thank the Lord we have brave men and women who do this, I doubt I could. https://x.com/RoyalNavy/status/1996187660503687282?t=J4IIfp5mUunyGVC9-qjcPg&s=19
Amongst all his other problems following a stroke, my Dad also developed COPD. He was admitted to A&E by ambulance after catching a chest infection and he was struggling with his breathing. My Mam was sent to book him in with reception. She was standing behind someone who had a sore finger. They were bending it and the receptionist said if it didn't seem obviously broken they might prefer to try their GP or 111 instead of A&E. They started shouting at her for not being a medical professional and demanded treatment in A&E.
Looks like the tip in Pallion now requires you to create an account, and it looks like the login system is crap. You still need to then put your address in again anyway once it finally lets you login. Literally just an easier way for the council to track how many tip visits per account and address.
