I think you may be right.

Although you could see they’re both able to control their aggression …

… just a bit too much yesterday.

The Newcastle players won’t get away with as much, as usual, in the derby imo.

No complaints from me. They do what they do and we handled it well until a deflected goal.

Could have been worse . If one of those had went in for us Abhu might have wobbled after their week, it clearly could have been better. I think the third hard game in a week showed in us a bit.

Another great effort by the lads. I'm still hoping for a top seventeen place. 23 points at this stage is insane.

My quick thoughts about the game. City are an extremely good side and when they press you they hem you in and its very difficult to get out and usually ends with them getting the ball back. Very good at it. I thought we showed a little too much respect 1st half and were punished. Start of the 2nd half was better, just needed a bit of luck with either Wilson or Granit efforts and it was game on. 3-0 flattered them somewhat, but nothing to be concerned about. At least we have everyone available next week . Learn from it and move on.

If they're that well known why don't you name them and do everyone a favour?

So you know who they are but won't be reporting them to the club or naming them.

    Why not?

The fact they were both subbed off when the game was gone says it all mate. We wanted to have a go at City but were also aware of the Derby, which is normal, expected, and actually would have been criminal not to be.

That's a playground term tbh, you can only 'grass' on someone you know.

If you see someone committing a criminal act you're supposed to report them.

Even more ... if you see touts openly depriving decent Sunderland supporters, of tickets, you shouldn't hesitate.

To "grass on someone" means to inform the police or authorities about their illegal or bad activities, essentially acting as an informer or snitch. It implies betrayal, often within a criminal or close-knit group, where someone reveals secrets to get themselves out of trouble or punish others, unlike an outsider simply reporting a crime.

I agree, you have to give it to the players for keeping their cool especially after Gvardiol tackle, Xhaka wasn’t happy at all. I thought the Ref had a good game other than that and it almost seemed like a friendly at times which I do not give a shiny ****e about because next week is more important. First half there was a few niggly fouls and if he gave a yellow for one of them it could’ve ended up turning into one of those where he starts giving yellows for anything. This was a free hit and hopefully some lessons learned playing against the best team in the league (in my opinion). They basically had Cherki and Foden playing as 10s because we were sat so deep it was always going to be difficult to keep them at bay but I thought we done well. First goal wasn’t really anyone at fault and second we shouldn’t have had Le Fee marking a CB. But I think they’ll have learned something from playing under that kind of pressure for the first time.

I did. Got an email from the club on Friday night saying my online ticket had been deactivated and I was to report to south stand ticket office at City on Saturday with a form of ID. It said it was a spot check. I have my grandson on my account and it didnt specify which ticket it was. Anyway attended as requested and it was indeed my grandsons ticket not mine, but he wasn't with me at the time so I explained he was on my account and the email had come to me. No problem at all just showed my id and he gave me a paper ticket for grandson. He did say it was city who do this as they want to know who is in the ground. Wasn't a problem for me, but if you don't have valid id with you that matches ticket you wouldn't have got in.
