UEFA should have put their foot down a decade ago and refused to compete in the 2018 world cup .
FIFA would have **** their pants .
**** them and run a Euro 2018 the world cup would have been shafted .

At my age this could be the last World Cup I see but sadly I have little interest in it. With the bloated format there will too many one sided matches and dead rubbers. The number of matches and the weather Will mean a lot of matches will rest on just one moment. Something Tuchel to be fair has already alluded to.

I usually try to watch all the matches but this time I'll mainly limit myself to the home nations

Among which age demographic? Dead to long dead?

I’d have him sent down for the McCarthyism he widely proliferated annd encouraged and that was before he became president. We won’t go into tripling the US debt, Iran/Contra or his constant cowtowing to the evangelical right, that speaks for itself. He handled the Cold War well, I’ll give him that, but if I was to name the one that I would consider the “best”, it’d probably be FDR.

Scotland are in the group of the acid bath. I reckon they'll struggle to beat Haiti. Never mind Brazil or Morocco....

    You’re missing the point

FIFA have no qualifications, or qualities, to suggest that they can assess who is worthy of a peace prize.

It’s like the Nobel Committee announcing they’ve awarded the Football World Cup to Fiji.

I do, however like the fact that after deciding they’d pat Trump on the head and tell him he was a really good boy, so good in fact he’d won a trophy…they cared so much that they couldn’t even be arsed to design one so they just nicked (probably 3D printed from a stock photo) a design of a statue that Azerbaijan gave to the UN to put in Geneva <laugh>

Whatever you think about the stupid FIFA award, Trump did well in Gaza.
Did anybody expect FIFA to do anything that made sense?

By convincing Netanyahu to pull back on the ceasefire he agreed when Biden was in power to make sure Biden didn’t get the credit, so Trump was more likely to win the election, thus costing thousands of lives?
