Remember, only 16 teams are knocked out at the group stage All the group losers & the poorest four 3rd placers. Then there is a round of 32. So eight 3rd placed group teams will make it that far (as well as all group winners & runners-up). Even Scotland can get there. It is literally harder to get knocked out than to progress.
That's why the symmetry of 32 sides was perfect. Eight groups of four with the top two going through to the last 16 and so on. It's now a mess.

Mo Salah Has been a great servant to Liverpool. But was dropped recently because he was in poor form. Now he has come out (after three whole games on the bench) and vented his frustration, claiming somebody wants him out of LFC. And repeating over and again that he now has 'no relationship' with the Manager. I'm sorry, but for me this is classic dummy spitting out. Why should Salah think he must always be an automatic starter, regardless of whether he is delivering goals? Claims he is not bigger than the Club. But that's exactly how he is behaving.
He’s deservedly lost his spot and imo should have been dropped much sooner. They need to get rid of Salah (and probably Slot also)
Fans learn a lot about the ability of players when things are going well. But they only tend to learn about the character of players when things are not going well. Liverpool fans are now learning something about Mo Salah's character.
