We definitely lack conviction in front of goal..Riis is a disappointment..not sure why being he did quite well for Preston..
It's becoming a little bit same same old..

Today I have just watched a nighmare performance by Bristol City and quite frankly I could see the chance of a 0-1 score fairly early on the game when Millwall took back most of the play in the last 15 minutes before half-time. After what was a fairly hefty percentage of the play we just looked bleak in every other thing we tried to do and the attempts on goal were non-existent. There were a lot players out there today who had close to shocking performances and I don't think many of us would disagree who they are. Today was the classic example of us having a vital fixture at Ashton Gate, which would enhance our league position, and basically we shoot ourselves in the foot again as we have done on way too many occasions over the years. :headbang:

I share your frustration, but I didn’t think we played that badly.
Riis was nonexistent. So was Anis for the most part. However, our passing and moving was pretty good.
We also should have had an equaliser - this is NOT offside….

    Definitely onside
More poor decisions by the officials who also allowed Hirst to stay on for Ipswich when he should have been shown a second yellow card for kicking the ball away

Bit disappointing to concede a goal from there. Ball goes wide and Millwall in seconds have more numbers in the box than City do.

I mentioned to the Mrs their guy on their right wing was in a dangerous position and if he got the ball we’d be exposed. He’d been lurking in that position earlier but the ball hadn’t made it to him. I suppose I did have a better view of him from the upper Lansdown than Struber in the dugout, but I’d expect our defenders to have clocked him.
    The rest is history.
I also have to question; how the hell can they (Millwall) have 3 UNCHALLENGED close-range attempts at goal. Why was nobody picking Ibramovic up?
    Very poor defending.
2 good saves by Vitek to keep their first 2 attempts out, but he can’t be expected to do ALL the defending himself!!!!

City did not respond quickly enough. When an attack breaks down they all should be defending. And? They were not.
