Isn't it weird that even though Marti was having a nightmare we had a song for him,and continually sung it,but JS who I am genuinely excited about zero poetry for him

    That's why I couldn't see you.

I thought the game was pretty boring until we scored. The second half was more lively and we played pretty well in parts. West Brom's QPR fan Chris Mepham spent the best part of the match moaning and having a go at our players. I thought their no.19 ( Heggebo?) was good though, never stopped running and scored with a good header. Nice to see the Rumarn & Richard combining for two of our goals, Burrell never stopped running as usual and pound for pound must be the best signing in this league this season. The ref was awful and awarded them a free kick for the slightest contact but in the second half two of players were scythed down yet no foul? All in all happy with the three points and back to winning ways. That's three wins out of four now.

Glad to hear that the fan who underwent a medical emergency has since been released from hospital after treatment. You fear the worst after hearing about the poor guy who lost his life at Charlton. I've since found out that his name was Norman Barker who has been a season ticket holder for 35 years and went to matches home and away and won supporter of the year only this year. RIP Norman <rose>

How about a simple, 'Allez, allez Julien' just as a chant?

Ref was Gavin Ward. Beyond awful.

I think I've told this story before on here, but when I was about 12 or13, I would get driven to games by a neighbour (Mr. Earp) who was a season ticket holder. He'd park up and head off to the Ellerslie Road (and only) stand, whilst I'd head off to the School End. Then there was one game when I waited by his car after the game and he didn't show up. After I'd waited a very long time, I made my way home. I was told by my parents the next morning that he'd died at the game of a heart attack.

No mate, I think he is on a different level doing the same dirty work that Madsen is meant to do as well. Think people forget they are meant to play in a defensive 2, and there is only Varane that actually does that. Check out two of Norwichs goals, both errors by Madsen because he is so weak defensively

The point of the two in front of a back four is not as a defensive two, but that one holds and one can get forward. Norwich is not a great example, but I think Madsen has been one of our better players this season, always looking to get the ball forward.

    Totally agree cuz.
I'm surprised Yorkshire thinks Madsen does not offer anything defensively, because although I have always thought there was a good player in there which he has shown in abundance this season. I am more surprised by the amount of defensive work he actually puts in game after game.

For me, his ability to read the game is his most impressive attribute, and he does tackle but makes far more interceptions to stop or help break down the play; sometimes it's only a slight touch, but it's effective.
