Think it depends what you mean by greatest... You could argue that Giggs was one of the greatest wingers in PL history based on longevity, but you wouldn't even consider him based on peak ability. Suarez for peak ability Salah for longevity Fowler for loveability
Well done for speaking out? I don't know. I'm in the camp that he'd be playing well with the right manager so think he's right. If he had done this with a manager doing well I don't think I'd back him.
I can’t back this approach Will be interest how we deal with this Could be the end of them both I think that’s what I would do now But I think it’s tricky
No idea mate It’s very sad it’s playing out like this To me the interview on the BBC hints like he’s pointing at VVD Certainly the defence I think Mo was the problem but only in so far as he can’t do what he used to do so the system has to change and that’s down to the coach I think a move like Ronaldo made right to the front might have worked But I will be buggered if I know the best route out of this the club can’t let themselves look weak They can’t let themselves be seen to mistreat a legend of the club it’s a right old pickle I might hibernate tbh
Its called respect. You should always respect the manager, at least publicly. As a leader of the dressing room, Salah should know better. But I think this is typical Mo tbh; things aren't going my way? Where are my toys, I need to they're them!
I disagree. He can hardly beat anyone in a man-to-man any more - never mind the 2,3 or 4 he used to be able to find his way through. It's frustrating watching him lose possession all the time, and I never feel like he's going to make anything happen. Last season he became more of a team player with some quality passes but this season he has just been poor. This isn't the manager's fault and he has every right to drop him - many on here have been calling for it for weeks. Mo is right that he isn't the reason for the slump - it's the team's inability to defend that's the problem - and that is the manager's responsibility to sort out, but Mo's own performance is his own problem, and he needs to recognise that, and not try to put the blame elsewhere.
Even his first touch these days seems off. How many times ball has been played into him on the right corner of the box set for a touch and shoot and his first touch bounces 3/4 yards away and closes down having to pass it
Totally agree. Mo has been extremely disrespectful to all involved imo. We understand he didn't like not paying, nobody likes it, but you're part of a squad and being paid very well to be a professional.
I don't see it like that, I feel he should be playing in a more narrow front 3 with the full backs overlapping so that he is in the right areas earlier in the play and that he'll then be more effective. Just a different way of looking at it.
Not the right way to go about it at all. Maybe Mo feels tricked? Realises Slot never wanted him and we got him to sign a deal to make some money from him?
Wonder if the Elliott problem has impacted on the budget men, if they can't get the £35m they were expecting and presumably built into the seasons budget, are they thinking they can't afford both Salah and VvD big wages. Perhaps there's been some talk around the club of selling one of them and obviously Salah is the one with the market value to the Saudi's. Then word gets around. Can't imagine anyone would be stupid enough to make him promises that he'd be playing every game and that he'd be starting no matter what. Other than Ronaldo and Messi I can't see any footballer believing the should be starting games regardless of form, it's part and parcel of the sport, constantly having to prove yourself.
