If this Labour govt, with all their majority, gift that bloody idiot the keys to no 10 it will be shameful tbh. It has been an abject first quarter of their governance. I really want to see a huge upturn. If it takes Farage to force that it will be a sad state of affairs, but at least we might be better off.

It goes the same for the tories. They look a pathetic opposition. Marginally better than Labour under Corbyn, but not much. If they fight hard to be the sensible centre right option to keep Reform out then progress. But again it is a damning indictment on the conservative party.

It is just a shame we dont have a plausible liberal party. They have the biggest seat % for a while but look like a tribute act to something.

I still dont believe Reform will get in. Too much time yet for them to keep opening their traps. But Starmer has to find a way to be a vote for his politics, and not a vote to get rid of the tories. The sooner he stops his twisting about 14 years of tory hurt, the better chance he has. He needs to make this next 3 years about Labour policy and delivery. He has all the power he could ever need to do so.

Farage's fan club talk as if his racist comments were from 'mixed infants' ...

... in reality he was an adult about to walk into his, pre-arranged, job in the City.

He is an opportunist and populist. I believe he believes he can make change. That is scary.

We need the big lads and lasses of politics, if we have any left, to send him back to his prior irrelevance.

What is probably most likely his undoing is those behind him in Reform. It really is a rag tag bunch like Lee Anderson. They wont go through an election campaign without looking stupid, because that is what they are. I am close to Ashfield and it so awfully run down. It is sad. But Anderson isnt the answer for them, and they are largely decent folk who I trust to see sense. Labour need to treat these areas with some respect and give them hope though. It wont take much more than a decent candidate with a proper message.

Anderson is a despicable bully who will reveal his true colours once the spotlight falls on him.

Reform's proposals won't please their core support ...

... it would be like turkeys voting for Christmas <laugh>

    1. Employ 30,000 more police officers across the UK.

    2. Speed up and reform the whole justice system in Britain.

    3. Build more new prisons.

    4. Deliver tougher sentences on repeat offenders in Britain.

Farage will put his foot in it long before the election and even then they will probably end up above Labour and the Tories, god help us.

I honestly think the weakness of Reform is the top 3. That aren’t nice humans and have the arrogance of toffs without warmth and empathy. It wil be their undoing and will be noticed. I also can’t stand the Starmer and McSweeney approach for less intense versions of the same but the Reform lot are nasty sorts and a threat to the life of the communities many of us live in.
