I hate the term free hit tbh. No such thing imo. We have proven that this season.

I thought today was a chance for another point. But it wasnt to be. Hard to argue they werent the better side. I did think we were too passive though. I would have much rather we tried to push them backwards in the first half. It became a matter of when not if for me.

Second half we showed we can make chances against them. If we got 1 then I think we can really scare them. Sadly we gave them a chance to counter with sloppy possession. Top teams hurt you in that situation.

I didnt like Regis subs at 3-0. I would habe liked to see Rigg in midfield personally. If we cant give him 20 mins of development time then not sure when we will. Same with Mayenda.

    Still, onwards we go.

I say this with the utmost of respect and I might eat my words but Man City will get a different match then they come to the SOL

Congratulations to them, they were the better team but personally i was more gutted with the draw against Liverpool.

Really going to need rigg and Mayenda in a couple games, though they both would have featured more tbh

2 massive chances for wilson in back to back games

its hard to say it without sounding critical but its fine margins in elite sport

i mean the scoreline flatters them for me for example, a deflected strike from 30 yards followed by a header thats off the bar, meanwhile we've kolo muani'd a 1v1 at Donnarumma and Xhaka hits the post and doesn't get the luck.

it's 1 win in 6 with another massive game on the horizon which sounds awful but theres 2 draws against Liverpool and Arsenal in there and arguably should have beaten Everton and Liverpool but that's football.

4 of the next 9 include Brighton, Leeds, West Ham and Burnley and it's those games that will define the season ultimately.

We weren’t disgraced at all. Just get the rub of the green and be slightly more clinical and it’s a lot closer game. Needed to close down better on the edge of the box for their first goal.

We fell short today against probably the best offensive team in the league. So What, We play the lower teams in the league for the next few games. Were a good side and we'll pick up points against the lesser teams. All the way to 40 points and beyond!

Thinking again about the red card incidents, the freeze frame makes O’Nien’s look worse but it was at quite a slow speed. The contact from the Man City player on Muki didn’t look terrible but it was at a far faster speed and endangered the player. Both red or neither.

The freeze frame did for Luke but saved the City player.

    Two things

Brobbey vs the Mags from the start? A definite consideration

Rayan Cherki - absolutely sensational player, a bargain at 35 mill

I've said the same about Izzy. 2 games 2 chances squandered. He'll find his form again, is not like he isn't getting chances.

Still 7th, above Liverpool, after tonight ...

... incredible for a team from the play-offs.

No shame in that today. Slight annoyance that the first two goals were pretty soft and we looked a bit flat out of possession, but hey ho.

Surprised Rigg didn't replace Hume rather than O'Nien

Yes, the first sign of misplaced loyalty from RLB ...

    ... I don't think he'll repeat that mistake.

Hume left V Cherki was a bad match up. I’m glad Reinildo was rested though so we smash the barcodes
