Fresh from their first home win of the season, Norwich City are looking for back-to-back league victories for the first time since February as they head to Vicarage Road (12:30 GMT). Watford are unbeaten in their past six league games at home. Watford lost this exact fixture 1-0 in February last season, last losing consecutive home league games against Norwich in November 1995. None of the past 16 league games between Watford (W9) and Norwich (W7) have been drawn, with the Canaries winning each of the past three. Watford have lost just one of their past 10 home league games (W5 D4) and are unbeaten in six since a 1-0 loss against Blackburn in September (W4 D2). After a 13-game winless run in the Championship, Norwich beat QPR 3-1 last time out. They last won consecutive league games in January/February last season, the second of which came against Watford. Watford have won more points from losing positions than any other side in the Championship this season (15).
Absolutely..and i guess we should....so if we don't that says we are not good enough..yet. I have seen lots of potential in recent games...so we can do it if we can get it all together..
Yes,potential is clearly there , and in this league, many teams go on runs in new year and get their rewards,, we've done it ourselves long ago ....we were outsiders in the play offs in 90s , yet won promotion....
Jeremy Ngakia: “Norwich do not deserve to be where they are at the moment, so it is going to be a tough game, regardless of where they are in the league. “We definitely expect them to try and go for the win because of the position they are in at the moment. But they are not a bad team at all. I’ve played against them a few times now and it is going to be a tough test for us.”
I agree with Jezza, it's not going to be easy. I fully expect Norwich to try and kill football and look for set-pieces as their main weapon. An early goal for us is the only thing that might make them try and play. Not that I think badly of the Canaries. After all, Dave is watching...
I recall them invading vicarage road end in seventies , think they got promotion , we were relegated iirc , anyhow , thry delighted in rubbing our noses in it , pitch invasion to boot , the other mob we had rucks with were Bournemouth for some reason ……..
Good to see Georgi in. People complaining about the back 4 but then they were moaning when Alleyne was in and Pollock wasn’t.
People always moan eh ... they probably have some understanding of the game.. we all have a bit.. but there are so many factors to consider each game......
Trouble is most of our lot are inconsistent and probably not particularly reliable that they will be good one game then dodgy the next . Maybe it’s the same at all clubs but our fans suddenly rate players more when they aren’t in the team than when getting a game !
We haven't got that team consistency yet where players can slot in and out of a strong unit. Looking better though. Our fans sadly not the fair minded supporters of old....and social media amplifies the outspoken minority
