Do we, I don't turn off mentally to stuff that is shown, I know I can't do **** all about it and no one is going to listen to you even if you start banging the drum - so any views become pointless because the powers that be will do what they want and kill who they want. Do you seriously believe we've got any control over anything outside of our own lives, I don't. My real point is that - in all likelihood - no matter what we have watched on the news - we don't sit there dwelling on it - in reality we do the opposite - switch to something less depressing .... Agree with the rest of what you say...
I saw this the other day but in France, so it suggests to me that this sort of chat is going on when world leaders get together. I wonder how long it will be before Starmer drops the bombshell on our young ones with similar proposals. Problem is we've all only ever known peace, and I expect Putin plays on that a little. I wouldn't mind being homeguard, certainly wouldn't want to serve on the Ulkranian frontline that's just a meat grinder.
