Even if matazo wasnt in the squad Could the efl really stop us registering a player we have and have been paying since jan 2025?
One in one out is policed by player registrations, we need to unregister a player in order to register another.
I'll be glad to have him back but seen some talk as if we're getting a prime Edgar Davids back. I remember Matazo looking decent - but nothing amazing and I suppose he didn't really have a chance to get going. Am I remembering it wrong?
The one in one out quoted in the summer was due to finances but you're also right that you have to look at the number of players registered.
Can't remember which game but I remember saying i think this guy is going to be my new favourite player. But again that was after seeing so little of him
Matazo seemed to have a nice touch but we saw nowhere near enough of him to be talking about him as one of our best players, as people sometimes do.
Definitely one of those "the more he doesn't play the more hyped he becomes". Same was happening with Zambrano. Both are reasonable players, both are young and inconsistent. Will have great games and go missing in others. Will be good to have him back for depth and rotation but I'm not getting carried away.
