I don’t think he’s completely innocent but I don’t think he’s a massive terrorist from what I’ve read about him.
I doubt it will happen as he is currently serving multiple life sentences in Israel, but Barghouti is one of the only people alive who could unite the Palestinian vote and render both Hamas and the corrupt old guard of Fatah completely obsolete.

Probably the best thing to ever happen to a competition nobody cared about. The last couple of years it’s probably had more coverage than in the decade prior. Thoughts are with the gays in Ireland and Spain.
Thing is though that competition more than any other has always had politics at the core of it, it just makes a change for people to have someone else to hate other than the UK. It's why I can't be arsed with the competition despite my interest in music, because apart from maybe any interest in a few of the contestants, the voting has always been rigged and it has nothing to do with the quality of the music. The countries that have withdrawn would have been better off doing what they always do to form, make sure the country they dislike the most finishes last, would make a change for someone else to prop the pack up.
... don't know and don't care ... not something I'm interested in, but I have the same approach to sport - wrong to punish athletes and fans for the actions of governments ...
