If you haven't seen it you're in for a real treat - you must watch the prequels; 1883 first (just one series), then 1923 (two series) and lastly Yellowstone itself (five seasons). All three programmes, imo, are brilliant!
Currently 2 episodes in and feels like a major return to form after a disappointingly soulless season 3 and a better but kind of throw enough **** at the wall and hope it sticks season 4. Coming together quite nicely.
And why not? Edit - just to add I don’t recall him describing anything as ‘throw enough **** at the wall and hope it sticks’, but he probably would’ve when free of the confines of broadcasting decency standards
