What did Sir Bob Paisley used to say; let the player lose his legs on someone else's pitch. Unfortunately, we've not done that with Salah imo. I understand it though, he was brilliant last season.

Been ok. Yes, been slow but trying to be patient as Sunderland just have 12 behind the ball anytime get into their half. Hard to play quick when that is the case.

 

I think Ecky is a better prospect than Isak.

 

Ekitike is a better fit for how we play. I'm not sure this team know how to get the best out of Isak yet.

 

Sunderland player goes slips in the box when blocking cross and immediately grabs his head knowing more likely to get the game stopped.

FA need to do something about players trying to con refs in those situations.

force players off for a 2 minutes concussion check if you go down holding head or something. Otherwise it’s such an easy way out of a dangerous situation.

Quite happy with the first half. You can understand the caution from the players. Its going to take time to build the confidence and understanding back.

personally amazed we have only one change as we will be in real danger of burnout over the next few weeks. I would have started Salah if only for rotation and Ekitike should have started with Isak replacing him after 60-70 mins and no way should Gomez be playing twice in 4 days
