Schade hits the crossbar from an inswinging corner. He was totally unmarked. WTF were we doing there?
Raya made a stunning reaction save to tip it onto the bar.

That was lucky there. Should have been 1-1. Warning sign for us.

White's cross for the goal was excellent, but since then, his crossing has been wayward in promising positions.

Probably understandable given how long he's not played properly, but would help if he could get a bit more accuracy and precision on them.

That was a shocking call from the referee. Madueke didn't foul Rico Henry there at all. He would have been 1 on 1 if he didn't give a foul...

    What an idiot.

There were good rotations and interplay there, but Martinelli has to do better with that finish - that's really not good enough to not at least hit the target. Poor attempt.

Madueke's had Henry on toast all game. Been beating him every time.

Rice was superb there <applause>. Madueke denied his 1st Premier League goal by a last ditch tackle by Henry.

Madueke needs to do better there. If he'd got his body in the way to protect the ball, he'd have had a 1-on-1 with Kelleher, but he showed too much of it to Henry and he nicks the ball off his feet.

Merino <doh>. There was no need to shoot from there, you just wasted a good opportunity.

Our decision-making in the final third has been quite frustrating. We could have ended this game as a contest in that first half.

Mosquera is down injured?!! Oh ffs. Not another one <doh>. I really hope he's gonna be ok because we have NO CBs on the bench.

He's coming off. Timber is coming on. I wonder who goes to CB now. Is it Timber? Calafiori?

Not bad. 1-0 been wasteful in front of goal.

Merino continues to bang the goals in.

Martinelli's struggles in these games against a low block.

Madueki is quite frustrating - he will beat 2-3 defenders and then fire his shot into the stands. Inconsistent.

    HT. 1-0.

Decent half where we've had the lion share of the chances and opportunities. Brentford had that one chance from the corner, but aside from that, we've dominated.

We have been giving them far too many throw-ins from promising areas for my liking, but we've defended them well so far.

Frustrating it's only 1-0 when we should be so much further ahead.

We need to make sure we are more clinical in the second half.

Kill them off please, Arsenal. Don't make it into a nervy, nail-biting encounter when you've been so dominant.

Played ok but very wasteful in the final 3rd.
Therefore this is a very tight game and Brentford look very capable of scoring goals.

    Raya with a brilliant save.
    Good goal from Merino
Nice to see Benny Blanco playing very well.

Madueke has been very involved but wasteful and lacking the final decision making.
Martinelli has tracked back well and been decent coming into the middle, but his last 3rd play has been abysmal.

Can't believe we have ANOTHER CB injury.
    WTF is going on.

Nah, I think Madueke's had a good game. He had one or two situations where he should have done better, but overall, he's played well. The only thing that's frustrated me has been his delivery from corners, as none have beat the first man.

Odegaard has frustrated me because he doesn't take the ball on the half turn and keeps going backwards. Needs to be more penetrative.

Madueke has been very involved, but I agree with Bear that he's been frustrating, especially not understanding he needed to get a first time shot away when through.

Odegaard has been poor. Looking backward first and I F*^&%&*! hate his stupid little flicks that give the ball away.

It's a major problem. All our players made of glass.

Terrible start to the second half.

Na reminds me of Gervinho there's no end product.

We look better now IMO with Saka and Eze on.

    2-0 good result.

Performance was mid but I always felt we could go up a gear.

Need to play better on the weekend.

    FT. 2-0.

3 points, clean sheet and we've restored our 5 point advantage.

Wasn't a good second half, but Brentford didn't really test Raya at all. We were very sloppy and didn't look as in control in that second 45, though, which is concerning with the opposition we have next.

I'm more concerned about the injuries. Mosquera off and Rice had to come off as well. I hope it's nothing serious, but the turnaround is so fast and if Rice misses that Villa game, we're in a lot of trouble for that match...
