    Leeds United v Chelsea
    Wednesday 3rd December@2015 | Elland Road

Leeds United boss Daniel Farke faces some crucial selection dilemmas ahead of Wednesday evening’s clash with Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea at Elland Road. The Whites have endured a torrid run of form, losing four consecutive matches and slipping into the bottom three, yet their spirited display against Manchester City at the weekend offered signs of encouragement.

Five changes were made for the trip to the Etihad, with AO Tanaka and Ilia Gruev stepping in for the injured Anton Stach and Sean Longstaff. Longstaff is side-lined until mid-January with a calf injury, while Stach, recovering from concussion, resumed light training on Sunday morning, and is available for selection. Given his current rib injury, it will be interesting to see whether the German International starts!

Brenden Aaronson, Gabriel Gudmundsson, and Noah Okafor were also dropped, as James Justin, Tanaka, and Dan James earned rare starts. However, James will miss out against Chelsea after sustaining a hamstring injury, prompting Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s introduction at half-time against City. We await to see the extend of Dan James' injury, but rumours indicate he could be out of action for a while!

Calvert-Lewin formed a promising partnership with Nmecha, which Farke may be tempted to deploy again on Wednesday. Both got on the scoresheet at the weekend making their inclusion onto Wednesday's starting XI likely. Leeds only other injury is Sebastiaan Bornauw, who is nursing an MCL issue.

Chelsea arrive without Moises Caicedo, suspended after a red card against Arsenal, but could welcome back Cole Palmer, who has recovered from a fractured toe. Rising star Estevão Willian, already on five goals this season, may be handed his first start, setting the stage for a fascinating encounter under the Elland Road lights.

We've got too many wingers for our new 352, so can hopefully cope without James for a bit.

They are a very pacy team, which worries me a lot if they turn over possession high up the pitch. We’re not exactly blessed in this area.

Wishing for a win but even a draw would do, anything to help lift up from down amongst the dead men.

A 3-0 win and Farke getting sacked will do nicely

Except he won’t be sacked with that (extremely unlikely) result.

He won't be sacked until a replacement is on hand.

I am not a fan of DF, however i am a fan of LUFC and from what I can see there is nobody in the shop window worth bringing in, IF the board decide to bring a replacement in it had better be right, if not it will be certain relegation and another dismantling of the team.

There's that many names banded being banded around it's hard to even imagine who they are going to bring in.

    I've just lost the buzz.
I dont know why but im proper down in the dumps with Leeds.
Like a poster above I need a pick me up something to get that buzz back.
Hand on heart I just dont see how we beat Chelsea I watched them against Barca they absolute destroyed them.
Every game is different though so I have to find some positivity but a point will be a good point.

Good to see the formation will be the same as the one for the second half against Man City.

    good if it works

I thought he might go with it for this and possibly Liverpool game. Both High pressing sides especially Chelsea. No element of surprise tonight though as Maresca will have been expecting it too.

one thing in our favour is they played a massive game with 10 men on Sunday.. we have an extra days rest so they may be a bit leggy.
